Lanter & Wren Layers of Nature

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

For my final post of the year, we're gonna take a look at Lantern & Wren's newest release, their Layers of Nature plate. Here's the video review I did of the plate:

And here's a closer look:

Lantern & Wren Layers of Nature

I love the layering component of this plate, and I think this is a lovely winter plate. But, it can be used all year round for all sorts of woodland magic, which makes it highly versatile and fun to play with, I think.

Here are the test swatches I did:

I've already shown you one manicure I did with this plate, showcasing how beautiful the wood grain texture image looks:

Stamping Plate(s): Lantern & Wren Layers of Nature
Stamping Polish(es): Hit The Bottle Polish Copper-Haired Girl

And for my final mani of the year, here's one last Christmas mani I did, featuring this plate:

Base Polish(es): Zoya Tanya
Stamping Plate(s): Lantern & Wren Layers of Nature
Stamping Polish(es): UberChic Beauty Essential White; Colour Alike Kiwiiz

So, from Christmas manis to beautiful backgrounds, this plate can fill tons of needs.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday season, and have a very happy new year!

The Digit-al Dozen does accent nails, Day 5!

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

Today's the final day of The Digit-al Dozen's accent nail week, and today I decided to go over-the-top Christmas!

UberChic Beauty Holiday Spirit over Supernatural Lacquer Santasaurus

Base Polish(es): Supernatural Lacquer Santasaurus and Zoya Tanya
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Holiday Spirit
Stamping Polish(es): UberChic Beauty Essential White & Pure Black, BeautyBigBang Gold, Colour Alike Warm Sand

For this one, I used the base polish, which is a specialty polish in a jelly base, also for the color of my reversed-stamped accent nail tree. But a polish like that won't show up well over even a medium color like the red, so I used a little trick--after I filled in the stamp with the base polish, I went over it again with a light green so that the specialty color would pop. If you have the UberChic Beauty Christmas Companion Layers plate, you can also stamp the background to the tree in that color, and then put the reversed-stamp image over it.

So that's it, the final day of accent nails...Do you have a type of accent nail you prefer over the rest?

Don't forget to check out the other ladies' manis, linked below. :)

Big hugs,
M. xoxo

The Digit-al Dozen does accent nails Day 4!

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

I'm back with my day 4 of the Digit-al Dozen's accent nails week...for today's mani, I wanted to do a different type of accent nail mani, this time where all the nails have the same background, but the accent nail has a little something extra:

Base Polish(es): Supernatural Lacquer Santasaurus
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Jingle All The Way
Stamping Polish(es): Girly Bits Ker-Minty Frog Here & Fire-Engine Red; UberChic Beauty Essential White and Pure Black

That cat just makes me happy, and I love this ugly sweater look!

I'll be back tomorrow with my final accent nail mani--in the meantime, check out the other ladies' manis, linked below. :)

Big hugs,
M. xoxo

The Digit-al Dozen does accent nails--Featuring UberChic Beauty Christmas Companion Layers

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

This month The Digit-al Dozen is doing accent nails, and I figured I'd start out by featuring a new plate I'm absolutely obsessed with--UberChic Beauty's Christmas Companion Layers plate. Basically this plate turns images from all of UberChic Beauty's Christmas plates into layering images, and I've been having a blast going back and playing with my plates.

Here's the video review of I did of the plate and a couple of others:

Here's the plate:

And here are some swatches I did:

But on to the new  nail art!

For my first one, I wanted to do a string of Christmas tree lights, with an accent nail that was an up-close of lights in a different color:

UberChic Beauty Christmas plates over Supernatural Lacquer Santasaurus and Zoya Jett

Base Polish(es): Supernatural Lacquer Santasaurus and Zoya Jett
Stamping Plate(s): Uberchic Beauty Christmas Companion Layers, Holiday Jingle, and Holiday Spirit (Christmas 01)
Stamping Polish(es): Moyra Silver, UberChic Beauty Essential White and Moonflower Polish Aquamarina layered over Hit The Bottle The Huntress Awaits

For the second, I wanted to do one that featured a combo of two accent nails:

UberChic Beauty Christmas Plates over holiday polishes

Base Polish(es): UberChic Beauty Snow Place Like Home and Meet Me Under The Mistletoe
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Jingle All The Way and Christmas Companion Layers
Stamping Polish(es): UberChic Beauty Essential White, Hit The Bottle Polish Purple Reign, and a gradient stamp with Kaleidoscope Pink and Girly Bits Forget Me? Not!

I'll be back Thursday with another accent nail mani--in the meantime you can pick up these plates now at UberChic Beauty, and you can check out the other Digit-al Dozen manis linked below. :)

Big hugs,
M. xoxo

Zoya Twinkling 2019 Holiday Collection

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

You guys. I'm a little late with Zoya's Twinkling 2019 Holiday Collection because...well, there was an accident. Don't look too closely but, halfway through the swatching, I had the sort of break every nail blogger wakes up in a cold sweat nightmaring about, and had to wait until the situation was acceptable again to finish them up! But thankfully, I was able to finish while there's still time to go grab these, and if you already have, to pick up some backups for...um...gifts? ;-)

Let's jump in!
