Review of Drikk stamping plate Drk-A

Hello!

I recently bought Drikk stamping plate Drk-A. I know it's not new and some people have it, but a lot of people either haven't heard of it or haven't been able to get their hands on it (I was one of those!), so I thought I'd review it here and point you to an easy source. I purchased mine here at Ninja Polish; this is also a great source for hard to find polishes, and the owner really cares about excellent customer service.

On to the review! I have pictures here of the plates, and I have a full video review where I show each image and do some test stamping with it on YouTube:

Here are the pictures:

In terms of type of image, I think there is a great variety of images from sweet, to cute, to elegant; some you can use for scene building, all can be used on their own; basically, a little something for every occasion. I personally love almost every image, which is not often the case for me on large plates.

In terms of quality, I found these stamp very well. The images are detailed well, and they stamp perfectly. If you'd like to see how easily and well they stamp, please check out the video review I did (link is above).

Possibly the best thing about this plate is that the images are HUGE. Plenty big for anyone's nails, and even for big toes. I've put a Konad plate next to the images below so you can see what I mean:

Comparison of the size of Konad full-nail images vs. Drk-A full-nail images

You can see that these images are much larger than the Konad full-nail images, so if your nails are too long to be able to use Konad without stamping twice, you may want to consider trying this plate out. You might also want to get an XL image stamper to make sure you get the whole image on your stamper.

I really love this plate, and have used it very effectively for several types of manicures. At initial glance it looks a bit pricey at $25, But this is roughly comparable with most other stamping plates of this size, especially since that includes free shipping (if you get it from Ninja Polish), particularly any that come from other countries (like these do). And when you compare the number of full nail images you get there (42) with other plates, the relative value starts to be come clearer. What it boils down to for me is, is the plate worth the price? In my opinion, the quality, size and style of the images are well worth the price.

There is also another plate available, Drk-B. I don't have this one yet...oh why oh why wasn't I born independently wealthy??!! (hee hee)

If you have any questions or there are any specific images you'd like me to test, let me know!

Thanks for looking,

M.

(the products in this review were purchased with my own money.)

    1. Thank you so, so much! You completely made my day, and yes, even made me tear up a little. Hugs back to you, and I'm glad you found me. Do you have a blog of your own? ::bear hugs::

  2. No, girl, no tears! =)
Yes, I have a blog indeed, but it's completely abandoned. Work just gets in the way all the time.
I'm into needleworks, but also love nail polishes. How do you feel about needles and threads? Lol.
Off to browse a bit more around your blog.
    Bear hugs back at ya!

    1. Found your blogs! I am a *HUGE* cross-stitcher, I can't wait to pour over what you all have done on those blogs. I had to stop for a while because of tendonitis, but I'm hoping to be able to return to it. :)

    2. Noooo... Really? A cross stitcher too?!
Now, how cool is that? It seems we have more in common than I thought! Really glad I found you!
Btw I have Hefesto, by Hits, on right now. I was wearing Retro (kind of "vintage" pinkish nude I guess), by Avon, but wanted to spice it up a bit. I understand you're quite an enthusiast of this brand. What about you? What are on your nails now?

    3. Yes we do! Right now I have on Polished Princess by Barielle. I ordered it a little while back and haven't work it yet, and it was time! It's such a pretty green, it has a tiny bit of holographic micro-micro glitter in it, just enough to catch a few tiny sparkles in the light. I might stamp on it tonight, I'm not sure...:)

  3. Oh, it´s a beautiful shade, but I´m a girl of blues, I guess. I like greens but only the darker ones.
Hey, I was wondering if you´d be up for a mini-swap. What are the brands you have availabe up there? I could get you a couple of Hits, Impalas, Coloramas...
Just feel free to say no, ok? =)
