Before & After: Trick or Treat!

Hello!!!

Oh yes, it's October and that means it's time for HALLOWEEN!!! I am so excited about doing Halloween nail art that I entered two challenges--yep, you read that right, two. Both challenges start on the 1st and end on the 31st, so on both of those days (one of which is today) I will be posting two manicures.

The first one is for my Crumpet Nail Tart Halloween challenge. Here is what the challenge will involve:

As you can see, the theme for today is Trick or Treats...So I've done a candy-themed manicure for today.

I started off with one of Jessica's new Fall 2012 polishes, Pumpkin Delight; I will review this polish more extensively along with Gingersnap later in the week. For now, here's how it looked before I decorated it:

Jessica Pumpkin Delight
This is such a beautiful glass-flecked polish in a mix of fall oranges, golds and silvers. It dances and shines in every light, and I adore it! Next I added one coat of Hit Polish Halloween glitter (Indie Alert!!!):

Halloween is a fun glitter in the traditional Halloween colors of orange, green, purple and black. It's not boring or expected, however, since it seems like almost ever glitter is a different shape--hex, shard, square, bar. Just enough to keep your eye surprised.

Then I stamped over it using Sally Hansen White On and Bundle Monster Plate BM322:

Trick or treat...!

I like the simplicity of the white candy wrappers over the variety of colors behind it. :)

So there it is, my first Halloween challenge manicure! Hope you like it...And please check out the other Halloween manicures linked below. :)

xoxo,
M.

  1. I am loving the colors together. I am involved in two Halloween challenges as well. I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of each other this month. :-)
