Review: China Glaze Avant Garden part 3 (Finally!)

Finally I am able to post the third part of my review of the China Glaze Avant Garden polishes! I have the three final ones that I bought, including two of my favorites. :)

Fade Into Hue: This is a pretty periwinkle creme that just calls to me:

The formula on this one was good, and opaque in two coats. I can see this working for so many things, from wearing alone to nail art. I'm hoping it stamps...I'll report back. :)

Keep Calm, Paint On is a frosty, minty concoction:

As you can see, I had a bit of a struggle with this formula. I wouldn't say I hate it, but I can't say I like it much, either. It took three coats to get opaque, and it was hard to get the coats to even. There was drag and ickyness (that's an industry term) and I don't see myself wearing this again unless it's a base for nail art or used directly in nail art. So sad, because I wanted to like this.

Mimosa's Before Mani's [sic]...Okay, before we go any further, I have to rant about this a bit. Please excuse me, I know this is probably my own personal issue and most likely is an indication that I need large amounts of therapy. But...the punctuation in this name drives me batshit insane. Maybe it's a mistake--I hope so--but it's printed this way on my bottle. I believe what they mean to have is 'Mimosas Before Manis', because with that punctuation it means '{plural of} mimosa before {plural of} manis', and that makes sense. But the way it's written it means 'The thing that belongs to Mimosa before the thing that belongs to Mani', because those are possessive markings rather than plural markings. And it makes NO SENSE that way.

Can you tell I'm a teacher?

Anyway, you didn't look at this post for a grammar lesson, you came to see pretty polish. And this one is pretty, one of my favorites of the collection. It's a pretty peachy coral creme with a bit of yellow-gold shimmer; it makes me think of tropical flowers:

The formula on this one was good, and was opaque in two coats. I can guarantee I'll get a lot of use out of this, which is weird because I would never wear this color in clothes. Huh, go figure. :)
