Before & After: Bandit Brocade

Hello!

Yesterday I showed you a manicure I did with Mentality Bandit stamped over Mentality Morality. I tried doing the exact reverse, but Bandit was a little too dark for Morality to show over...so I picked a different stamping polish and created my flip-flop of yesterday'a manicure that way. :)

So here's what Mentality Bandit looks like on it's own:

Next, to get that pop of eggplant over the top, I stamped with Barielle Edgy (originally a press sample) and Pueen 26:

The last one was more sparkly and this one is more smooth. The contrast is more in-your-face, and it has the feel of a velvet brocade holiday gown, at least to my eye.

So...which one do you like better?

Hugs and loves,
M.

  3. Beautiful! Gem-tone purples and greens are one of my favorite color combos!

  4. Ahhh ♥♥
You're right, this one is a bit more "loud", but I still prefer it. There are some great manis using holo polish for stamping and it looks great, that's why I thought Morality would look interesting in this combo.. but I guess a cream base would work better with that?
    Anyway... ahhh ♥

    1. I like them both, but for different things, I think. It depends on the outfit...

I'll have to try stamping with Morality over something else. I think over a lighter color it might work, or it just might not be a good stamper. But when the holo is that gorgeous, I'm okay with that, lol! :)

  5. Hmmm...decisions, decisions! Morality is gorgeous as a base color, but I think I prefer the higher contrast when used to stamp over Bandit. Maybe alternating nails or 2 accent nails so one doesn't have to deprive one's self? <3

    1. That is an amazing idea. I'm going to have to try that, either with these or with a similar set of colors and see how it looks...

    2. If nothing else, you'll get to compare them side by side with the same lighting etc.
