It's that time of the week again, and we're here to ease the transition into the workweek with a selection of lovely blue polishes for you.
For my contribution this week, I've selected Julep Lacey, a midnight blue shimmer with a rich, jewel tone and a deep pool of light:

While this is a teeny bit dark for lapis lazuli, it still put me in mind of it, so I decided to make an Ancient Egyptian manicure. I stamped with MoYou-London plate Explorer Collection 17, which I will be reviewing for you on Wednesday, along with Explorer Collection 02. I used China Glaze Passion for the stamping, and then added red accents with Konad Red and a dotting tool. Finally, I put a swipe of Passion along the bottom, which I smeared when I put my topcoat on because it wasn't dry enough...aarrgghh...:

I can't wait to show you this plate...if you love Ancient Egyptian motifs like I do, you're going to love it...

DeleteI did an Egyptian manicure last year, and images were hard to find...I need the plate you used. These are beautiful, and that blue is stunning!
ReplyDeleteYes, I was right there with you! I had an Eye Of Horus and a background image that sort of looked like it would work for Egyptian, and that was it. I am sooo excited about these and the two Egyptian collage plates they have! You'll be seeing those soon here...:)
