Hello!
I just got my very first Cici & Sisi plates in the mail, and I'm hurrying to get them up for you, since they are now available on Amazon for your stamping delight. :)
Each of their sets has 6 plates; in this post I'm reviewing set 3 (the yellow set), which consists of plates 13-18. Because there are so many plates to show and test, I split my video into two parts:
Part 1 (Unboxing and plates 13-15):
Part 2 (plates 16-18 and stamping test):
Each plate has a very general theme, and some of the images are designed to work together; there is also overlap from one plate to another with respect to complementary images for design flexibility.
Each plate in the set is divided roughly in half. The top half is what I call a 'collage-style' image; this is a very large image made of a collage of designs. These types of images give you much more artistic freedom and flexibility than a simple single image does. With the MoYou plates like this I've shown you, I've done a how-to-use section on them; I'm happy to do that with any or all of these plates if you're interested--just let me know. :)
The bottom of each plate has 15 individual full-nail images, of the standard variety.
Let's take a look at the plates. From here on out, I'm going to do this a little differently than I normally do--I'm going to show you each plate along with the stamping test for that plate, and then at the end will show you the size comparison.
Here's Cisi & Sisi plate 13:
Top half of Cici&Sisi 13: A collage of flowers and flourishes |
Bottom half of Cici&Sisi 13 |
This plate has a general flower-and-flourish feel to it, with plenty of elements for a feminine manicure (this theme carries over to most of the other plates to some degree as well. There are also a few geometrics to round out the feel.
Here are the results of my stamping test:
A stamp from the collage, and one from the top row |
Tests of the second and third row |
For all the test images, I stamped using Wet 'n' Wild Black creme, onto a standard sheet of white paper. This was my first time doing a stamping test on a flat surface rather than on my nails, so you'll see some smudging around the edges as I got the hang of it. That's my error, not a fault of the plate. Also, you're seeing the very first test I did with the image; in a few cases I stamped a second time, and will show you both attempts in that case. :)
Cisi & Sisi Plate 14:
Top half of Cici&Sisi 14: A collage of tea images |
Bottom half of Cici&Sisi 14 |
The top half of this plate has a tea theme, and the lower portion has a number flowery images that could go along with a tea-garden/tea-time sort of feel. Or, could be used for anything else you like, of course!
And the stamping test:
Test of collage portion: I messed up the letters the first time so wanted to be sure it was me and not the plate. ;) |
(the line you see in the third image was a puppy hair!) |
Cici & Sisi 15:
Top half of Cici&Sisi 15: A jungle full of goodness! |
Bottom half of Cici&Sisi 15 |
And the stamping test:
That little flaw in the owl is me, not the plate. :) |
Cici & Sisi 16:
Top half of Cici&Sis 16: Comic Crazies! |
Bottom half of Cici&Sis 16 |
This plate has a general comic/graphic novel feel to it, although this doesn't carry through to the individual images so much.
Stamping test:
Cici & Sisi 17:
Top half of Cici&Sisi 17: Thought bubbles for all |
Bottom half of Cici&Sisi 17 |
This plate has a whimsical feel to it, a little bit of comic book to it; there are images here that you can mix and match with the previous plate.
Top row second from the left: No idea what that is or says. Help!
Last image on the right, middle row: am I the only one that sees polish bottles and dots of polish on that one?
And up last, Cici & Sisi 18:
Top half of Cici&Sisi 18: Stripes and geometry forever! |
Bottom half of Cici&Sisi 18 |
We have stripes. We have circles. We have squares. And there are plenty of geometric images on the other plates to mix in with this one. :)
Stamping test:
That wobble was me |
When I posted this earlier, I was in such a hurry to get it up that I forgot to include the size comparisons! Here they are:
So what do I think overall about these plates? I think they stamp well, and are an excellent value for the money; they break down to five dollars a plate (plus storage case). There are a few images that confuse me (more so in Set 4, which I'll post next), but what else is new? I think there is a good blend of image types, some elegant, some fun, some flowery, some geometric, some standards, some new ideas.
This set of six currently sells for $29.99 on Amazon, or $5 per plate, plus storage container.
I think the collage portions of the plate offer lots of opportunities; they're a little bit easier to use than some collage-style plates, but do offer a fair amount of flexibility and creative freedom.
Overall I'm very pleased with these plates and am happy to recommend them!
I'll be back with set 4; in the meantime, here is the link to my tutorial on how to isolate images, and if you want to get some ideas for using collage-style plates, check out my how-to-use series, which you can find here in my Tips, Techniques, and Tutorials section. :)
Hugs!

These plates look great! I love that they come in their own cases to help protect and store them. I'll have to look into getting some of these now!
ReplyDeleteI agree. I wish all sets did that...
DeleteThis is a super great review! Just shared on my FB page! :) I'm giving away this same set so it was perfect timing that you did this! I'm so glad to have another Cici&Sisi fan around! I think sets 1 and 2 were better, but 3 and 4 are still a great deal for the money with tons of usable images.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing! I don't have 1 and 2, but maybe someday...:)
DeleteAh ha! You didn't get me this time...mine arrived this morning. LOL Brilliant job as always! <3
ReplyDeleteAw, man!! I'm too late!! :P
DeleteLove your video reviews. :)
ReplyDelete#15, middle row, 2nd from left - could that be a water marble design?? :) And in the collage part of that same plate, bottom-left corner, I can almost see a water spotted design.
And yes, d'uh, of course we all see polish bottles in a cloud of dots (#17)! :D
Fun & pretty plates in general; can't wait to see more from you.
It definitely could be, and that would be pretty to work with. And yes, you could certaom;u make a water-spotted-type design with that collage. I think I may need to try it, lol! And thank you for once again humoring me in my polish mania with that design, lol!!
