Review: Barielle's new ProSina Signature Collection

(Press sample, affiliate link)

Hello!

Barielle is introducing a new line of polishes that are infused with ProSina, a hydrolyzed keratin that penetrates your nails and skin to help keep your cuticles and nails healthier, and to repair damage. They've taken some of the colors from their regular collection and re-made them with this new technology to turn the polish into a nail treatment, too.

They sent me two of these polishes to try out, and I was interested to check them out because Barielle makes one of my favorite treatments, their protein-rebuilding basecoat; because I love it so much, I'm excited for polishes that treat my nails the same way.

Let's take a look at Barielle Belly Dance, a neutral taupe creme:

Application and formula on this were excellent; I didn't have any dragging or patchiness. This is two easy coats, but I was almost able to get away with one.

This is a near perfect neutral for just about any skin tone; this is a great look for work or any occasion where you want understated, but it also looks rich and classy at the same time, so it would be a great polish for a night out, as well.

The second polish they sent me is Barielle Sky's The Limit, a shimmery royal blue that stops just short of metallic:

This one also had excellent formula and application; again I was almost able to get away with a single coat, but this is two coats.

I love the deep pigmented blue of this; it's like looking down into a deep ocean or up into a starry night sky. This will be one of my go-to polishes, for sure.

So, how am I liking this new line? Based on these two polishes, I'm a fan. They apply well, and I got good wear; I was only able to keep them on for four days (ah, the life of a polish blogger), but they stayed on well during that time. I fight a continual battle with my Cinderella hand to grow out my nails, so I'm thinking I might wear the taupe as much as I can to see if the polish helps.

Also, I noticed these were well-pigmented, so I tried them out for stamping, and they work great! I'll show you a couple of manis using them shortly.

Finally, like all Barielle polishes, these are 5-free and safe for pregnant women. So while these are also treatments, they're still safe for everyday use.

You can find these for sale on Barielle's site, or any IRL store that sells Barielle; you can also find a lot of their products on Amazon. And check them out on Facebook for news and updates--they have a ton of great sales and contests.

Happy polishing!
M.
