Review: Sassy Pants Anniversary Trio

(Press samples ahead!)

Hello!

Sassy Pants Polish is a year old, and to celebrate, they've released a gorgeous anniversary trio:

Let's jump right in and take a look, starting with Sassy Pants Polish Collaborate, a soft orchid crelly with purple, blue, magenta, grey, and silver glitters:

This is two easy coats, plus topcoat. Formula was excellent, and the glitters spread and layered well. This polish is a field of flowers on your fingers, different shades of purple pansies scattered across you fingers. It's feminine and flirty, but has a bit of dustiness to it to give it character. The shade is perfect to keep this on the sophisticated side.

Next up is Sassy Pants Polish Create, a blurple crelly with blue shimmer that will change a bit with the light:

You can see in the pictures that while you'll get an almost solid purple most of the time, when the light picks up the blue shimmer the polish will shift a little blue; my camera exaggerates the shift slightly, but you can see the range. I love blurples, and this one is saturated and rich--the consistency is crelly-like, part creme and part jelly.

This is three thin coats; if you're careful, you may be able to get away with two, but I'd plan on three to be safe. I got some dragging on the first coat; as you can see, that smoothed out with the next layers.

Next is Sassy Pants Polish Celebrate; while I adore all three of these polishes, this is my favorite of the collection. This beauty is a scattered gold and silver holographic base with blue, green, and purple flakies:

This is three coats of perfect formula--this baby practically applies itself, and you don't have to worry even a little about placement. The scattered holo in this is like wearing a discoball, and the finish has a light gunmetal look to it. It's like a glorious angel went out and had one heck of a night, just enough to give her perfect wings a little bit of a grunge edge. Love, love LOVE.

Celebrate can also be used as a topcoat; here it is over Create:

This is one coat of Celebrate over two coats of Create, plus topcoat. Seriously, how gorgeous and sparkly is that?! If you want even more sparkle, you can always put on a second coat, but believe me, one will do just fine.

One of the things I want from a trio is the ability of the polishes to play well together; here is a skittle I did with the polishes, to show you how beautifully they complement each other:

I love how Create pops the glitters in Collaborate and the flakies in Celebrate--throw these polishes on in any combination and you're going to have a gorgeous mani in no time flat.

What do I think of the collection? I'd buy and treasure each of these polishes separately, but I love how well they go together as a set. While there was some pulling on the first coat with Create, that doesn't bother me if the polish evens out with the next coats, and this one did, so I can say the quality is excellent. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet, something vampy, something a little glittery, something a lot glittery, or no glitter at all, this trio has it for you.

Something else I love about Sassy Pants in general is that their mini bottles are 7.5 ml, half the size of their full-sized bottles. So if you want to test something out with a mini, you're actually getting a pretty decent amount.

Speaking of which, the minis in this collection sell for $8 and the fulls are $12, and you can get the entire full-sized collection for $33. Sassy Pants gives FREE U.S. shipping with any purchase of $50 or more, and they also offer international shipping. :)

You can find the polishes in the Sassy Pants Polish shop here.

Happy Polishing!
