Review: Winstonia Love of Henna plate (plus sample manis!)

(Press samples and affiliate links** ahead!)

Hello!

Today we're gonna take a look at the final plate in my four-plate review series from Winstonia: their Love of Henna plate. :)

To recap, I've already showed you the Beach, Please, Color Me Vine, and the Wisdom of Henna plates. You can see all of them in action in my video showing all four plates:

So let's take a closer look at Love of Henna, all up-close-and-personal like:

All four images are beautiful examples of intricate henna designs, each with their own twist. Two paisley, one with chintz-like bluebells around it when you're feeling like you want something on the delicate side, the other with swirls and bold flowers behind it. And I love the gorgeous thistle-like flower design surrounded by the swirls--but my favorite on this plate is the open flower with the layers of flowers and leaves behind it. Divine.

The images on this plate are the same size as those on the Wisdom of Henna plate.

Does it stamp? Heck yeah:

Love, love love that awesome detail. :)

For my first mani, I started with a base of The Lady Varnishes Give Me What I Want, a beautiful purple holo, and added a coat of The Lady Varnishes Wicked Wish, a topper filled with purple, green, and holo glitters. Then I stamped with Sally Hansen Lively Lilac:

I stamped the chintz-like portions of the one image so that the holo and the glitter could shine through, and then put the thistle portion of the other image on the accent finger so it would stand out. I love how it looks like some sort of elaborate headpiece!

For my second mani, I started with a base of The Lady Varnishes Broken Carousel, a gorgeous purple holo with a spray of glitters and flakies. I stamped using Messy Mansion Spring Green, and then added dots of Hit The Bottle Everyday I'm Truffling stamping polish:

Yeah. That certainly makes a statement, and more of one than I intended when I saw it in my head. That said, I do like it, even thought it's a little bolder than I'd wear for just any occasion, hehe. I do love the colors together, and I chose the section of the image that was open, as sort of a half-moon-esque look, with the little fringe on top--it kinda looks like one of those veils that belly dancers wear.

Since that mani came out a little bolder than I intended, I decided to do a third one, this time with a softer look... I loved the gold-and-white mani I did last time, especially how the white looked stamped on the nude nail, so I decided to play around with a different combination of colors. This time I stamped Messy Mansion Chalk directly on my nail, and used Zoya Levi for my accent nails:

I'm obsessed with this look, the henna stamping on the nude nail. And I love Levi along with it--the gold is subtle and those colored glitters peeping out here and there just adds a little flash. Love, love, love!!
