Review: UberChic Beauty Collection 11

(Press samples ahead!)

Hello!

Guess what time it is?! UberChic Beauty new plate release time! It's always a good day when new beautiful plates are birthed into the world. :)

Here's my video review:

And let's take a look at some still shots. First 11-01:

Stars and drapes and roses and lacy-gate images--but my absolute favorite image on all three plates is that one with the grapes and what look like mountain vineyard as the background. It's deco-y, it's stained-glass-y, it's wine country. LOVE!

Here's a look at the relative sizes (click for a bigger look):

I love that infinite image--so many different textures, and the areas are big enough to pull different textures out and use them alone, or pull from an area that crosses over several different ones. I love those pinwheel yin-yang symbols, those butterflies are so intricate, and those little trees are gonna come out at Christmas time for sure!

And finally, 11-03:

Okay, I love the spikey flowers--that can be either sweet flower chic with pink holo underneath stamped in white, or Sci-fi awesome with black holo stamped in gold or silver. And the lily-pad looking flowers--I love stuff like that that's a little different and fun. And that stack of coins image--gorgeous and steampunky and awesome. :) Btw, do you see little doves hidden in the top-left image of the bottom picture? Maybe it's just me...;-)

So how do they stamp? Gorgeous as usual:

So, what do I think of the collection overall? The quality is top-notch, as usual. Brittany does a few things with each collection that I really appreciate, and this set is no exception:

  • Variety of image types: In her collections she always includes some geometric images, some deco images, some flower images, some whimsical images, etc. You can find something for any mood in a single set--grab and go, lol.
  • Negative space images: She always includes a few images you can use to let your specialty base polish shine through.
  • Coordinating images: She always includes part of her full-nail images as little isolated images so you can play around and coordinate for lots of flexibility when creating your manis.
  • Multiple image sizes: She always includes one or more images that have some or all of the image magnified so you can play with the same image in different sizes in your mani. A great, fast way to get an elegant look.
  • Inspirational/fun words: I love that she includes these, so you can put little happy affirmations on your manis.

This set does all this and more. Stay tuned for manis made from each of these! :)

You can find these plates and lots of other awesome beauties in the UberChic Beauty shop, and don't forget to follow them on Instagram and Facebook for updates and inspiration.

Happy stamping!
M.

  4. You know, as much as I want to love the plates (I hear only good things about their stamping capabilities) I just can't get on board with a brand that is always surrounded with so much drama.
