Before & After: SinfulColors Purple Diamond + It Girl Nail Art IG102 (or, Zig-a-zig-ah)

(Press sample; affiliate link)

Hello!

I have a simple, fun before & after for you today. I started with SinfulColors Purple Diamond:

Then stamped using It Girl Nail Art Plate IG102, and Pop-arazzi Down The Runway:

Here's how it turned out:

What do you think? Simple, fast enough to do before you head out to work, hard to mess up, but fun and flirty.

Happy stamping!

Review and test: MoYou London Festive 16 (or, Silver'd Web)

(Features press samples; affiliate links)

Hello!

Hey, guess what! I have a cool Halloween plate to review for you today! MoYou London Festive 16 is a Halloween plate they released last year. I wasn't able to get it in time to show you for last Halloween, so I'm doing it now. :)

Of course I made a video:

And here are the still shots of the plates (sorry, I forgot to take a picture before I used it for a mani, so there are some scrapes)

And here it is next to a Konad plate: you can see the full-nail images are a hair smaller than Konad images:

This is a fun Halloween plate with a touch of whimsy, without being super cutesy. There's a wide range of Halloween fun from witches to scary houses to punikens to skeletons to spiders--plenty to get you into your Halloween groove.

To show you it stamps well, I did a simple manicure; I started with the absolutely gorgeous Shinespark Polish Evergreen:

I did a shadow stamp on the ring finger with Nfu-Oh 61, Pop-arazzi Down The Runway, and Konad Black. I stamped all the spider stuff with Nfu-Oh 61, so I'd preserve the holo effect of the base polish:

To prove it goes all the way around--darn curvy nails!

I've only written about three poems in my whole life, so I'm going to reuse the one I wrote last year, since it fits so well:

In darkest night
The spiders crawl
Cross silver'd web
Come one, come all
Along your ear
Across your face
Sleep well, my dear
They'll leave no trace...

Happy stamping!!

NOTD: Deco Swirls

(Nothing to disclose)

Hello!

This is another manicure I did for the Nail Challenge Collaborative; the theme last month was to recreate another member's manicure, and as you can see, I'm running a little behind on it. :)

Here is the original manicure, done by Tina from Light Of The Moon Nails:

For this one, I went more along the lines of 'inspired by' than 'recreate'; I didn't purposefully set out to change it--I adore it just as it is, and would happily have recreated it exactly. but I didn't have the exact stamp she used, so I had to go for a similar overall look/feel. When I pulled out a plate that allowed me to do that, it called out to be done in purple for some reason (who knows why, teams of experts can't figure out how my mind works), so I went with it. Here is my version:

I used Finger Paints Magenta Mural for the index, middle and pinkie, and Pop-arazzi Down The Runway on my thumb and ring fingers. Then I stamped with those same polishes on the opposite color, using MoYou London Gothic 09.

Here are the sections of the plate I used:

I adore this plate--so many gorgeous designs hiding in plain sight. :) And I also have to rave about Finger Paints Magenta Mural--it's a stunning purple shimmer that also stamps, and you can't beat that. :)

So what do you think? Did I at least do her mani justice in spirit??

Happy stamping,
M.
