UberChic Beauty's Wild Luxury Plates: Warm and Cold Blooded

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

UberChic Beauty recently released two animal-print plates, separated by blood type: warm and cold. Here are the video reviews I did of the two plates:

Warm Blooded:

And Cold Blooded:

Here's a closer look at the plates:

UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Cold Blooded

UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Warm Blooded

Let's jump on in to the manis! First, the Cold Blooded versions. For the first mani, I wanted to go simple but dramatic:

UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Cold Blooded over Sally Hansen Get Mod

Base Polish(es): Sally Hansen Get Mod
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Cold Blooded
Stamping Polish(es): MoYou London Ginger Rust

For my second, I wanted to go bright and fun:

Base Polish(es): Stella Chroma All Charged Up
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Cold Blooded
Stamping Polish(es): Colour Alike Kiwizz and Moonflower Polish El Yunque

For my last Cold Blooded manicure, I wanted to show how versatile these images are in terms of texture and background uses, so I turned them into the ocean, with a little help from their Forecasting Glam plate:

UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Cold Blooded over Stella Chroma Grab The Wheel

Base Polish(es): Stella Chroma Grab The Wheel
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Cold Blooded and Forecasting Glam
Stamping Polish(es): It Girl Nail Art Sapphire, Kaleidoscope by El Corazon White

And now the Warm Blooded versions! I started with a fun mani I've been wanting to do for ages:

UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Warm Blooded over Stella Chroma All Charged Up
Base Polish(es): Stella Chroma All Charged Up
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Warm Blooded
Stamping Polish(es): Kaleidoscope Black, Moyra Silver

For my next, I had to do a full realistic Cheetah mani:

UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Warm Blooded over Girly Bits Irreplaceable

Base Polish(es): Girly Bits Irreplaceable, Zoya Kateri and Noah
Stamping Plate(s)UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Warm Blooded
Stamping Polish(es): Kaleidoscope Black

And again I wanted to show how versatile these images are, so I did a cotton candy manicure:

UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Warm Blooded over Zoya Joey

Base Polish(es): Zoya Joey
Stamping Plate(s)UberChic Beauty Wild Luxury: Warm Blooded
Stamping Polish(es): Kaleidoscope Pink, Black

What do you think, are you a warm-blooded or cold-blooded kind of stamper? Or would it be impossible to choose?

Both plates are on sale now on UberChic Beauty's store, and through her stockists.

Big hugs,
M. xoxo

Dixie Plates Tropical Paradise and Festival Fever

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

It's amazing how much of my life is incompatible with my nail blogging, lol! I spent part of yesterday and part of today weeding my garden, which resulted in large amounts of dirt way up in my cuticles. I love to cook, but the number of times I've almost cut off a nail or broken the corner while doing some cooking task is ridiculous--and don't get my started on typing with long nails, which is what I do for a living. Growing up I wanted to learn how to play the guitar--until I found out I'd have to keep my nails short. I believe to this day I made the right choice, hehe. It all just goes to show how much I love nail art!!

Anyway. Let's take a look at two new plates that are releasing today from Dixie Plates: Tropical Paradise, a cool summery layering plate, and Festival Fever, a super versatile plate revolving around a music festival theme.

Here's the video review I did of the plate:

Here's a look at the plates:

Dixie Plates Tropical 01/Tropical Paradise

I love the layering potential in this one--especially the triple-layer images! I have a little tip in my video above if you struggle with the full-nail triple layer image. :)

Dixie Plates Festival Fever
I see so many different uses for this plate! Southwestern manis. Music-themed manis. Fireworks/fair manis. And the eyes and the Hamsa go so well together--and also go with her Boho 01 plate if you've picked that up. :)

Here are the swatches I did:

Now for the manis! For the first one, I wanted to capture that music festival vibe...

Base Polish(es): Stella Chroma Grab The Wheel, Hug The Road, and All Charged Up
Stamping Plate(s): Dixie Plates Festival Fever
Stamping Polish(es): Kaleidoscope Black, Moyra Silver

For my second mani I wanted to capture the feel of the 4th of July Fireworks at the County Fair we go to:

Dixie Plates Festival Fever over Stella Chroma Grab The Wheel and Classic Red

Base Polish(es): Stella Chroma Grab The Wheel and Classic Red
Stamping Plate(s): Dixie Plates Festival Fever
Stamping Polish(es): Kaleidoscope White and Black, and Moyra Silver

And for this last one, I loved the way the leaves came out on the swatch, so I had to do a full mani:

Base Polish(es): Zoya Tiana
Stamping Plate(s): Dixie Plates Tropical Paradise
Stamping Polish(es): Girly Bits Ambition, You Can't Handle The Spruce

Any favorites here? You can buy these plates now from Dixie Plates' store, or anywhere else the sells Dixie Plates.

What about you, do your other hobbies/activities get in the way of your nail art?

Big hugs,
M. xoxo

PPU alert: The Lady Varnishes She Lavas Me, She Lavas Me Not & That's a Killer Album

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

This month's Polish Pickup collection is a 'rewind', where makers bring back one (or more) of their favorite polishes from the past year. The Lady Varnishes decided to bring back She Lavas Me, She Lavas Me Not for the sale, and That's A Killer Album on her website. So here's a little refresher to help you decide if you need to snap one of these up while they're available this week!

This is two coats of perfection. It's one of my favorite polishes of all time, and it was an extremely popular polish back in the January sale--so if you want it, snap it up! It'll be available for sale only from July 5th through 8th from the Polish Pickup site, for $13; only 150 bottles will be available, so if you missed it the first time, snap it up!

Here's some nail art I did with this polish (full details here):

I have three coats on for this one. I love how the pink shimmers through and the glitter just seems to dance! Here's a little nail art I did to play up the colors (full details here):

This one will be available directly from The Lady Varnishes' website.

So, will you be grabbing one of these? Both?
