Lantern & Wren's #AllTheHearts Plate

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

Today I have another new plate from Lantern & Wren to show you: the Lantern & Wren #AllTheHearts plate, right in time for the run-up to Valentine's day. :)

Here's the video review I did of the plate:

And here's a closer look:

As with her other plates, she's packed in a ton of images, and gives a nice variety that run the gauntlet from cute to elegant.

Here are a trio of sample swatches:

I LOVE the way that bohemian lace image looks over that smoosh...sigh...

Okay, on to the manis! I had to use that bohemian lace image again, but this time wanted to try some non-Valentine colors:

Base Polish(es): Shine Nail Polish Mirage
Stamping Plate(s): Lantern & Wren #AllTheHearts
Stamping Polish(es): Messy Mansion Hydrangea Blue & Lilac

I chose blue stamping polish to pull out the shimmer in the base polish, and I love how it came out. :)

For my next mani, I wanted to try a cool French tip look:

Stamping Plate(s): Lantern & Wren #AllTheHearts
Stamping Polish(es)Messy Mansion Red-y Or Not

I love how simple but effective this look is. :)

And, for a final look, I wanted to use some hearts in a non-Valentine way, to show the versatility:

I think this is an adorable manicure for spring!

Stella Chroma Goddess of the Wild

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

I'm back with another polish from this month's Polish Pickup...today we're gonna take a look at Stella Chroma Goddess of the Wild, an off-white crelly packed with white, gold, and green flakies:

Coverage: Two coats
Formula and application: Crelly with perfect application
Other issues: None!

All of the white and green in Goddess of the Wild makes me think of a meadow with white wildflowers, which is very Artemis, I think! It also reminds me of old marble statues, the kinds that have veins of color running through. But most of all, this looks like someone shredded up gold and dollar bills into a nail polish!

Stella Chroma Goddess of the Wild will be on sale during Polish Pickup's January sale, from Jan 4-7th. In the meantime, check out Stella Chroma here:

Big hugs,
M. xoxo

The Lady Varnishes She Lavas Me, She Lavas Me Not

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

For this month's Mythology PPU theme, The Lady Varnishes chose one of my favorite mythological Godesses: Pele! If you don't know her, she's the Hawaiian goddess of fire and volcanoes. She's often depicted with lava floes as tendrils of her hair, and legend has it she fell in love with, and seduced, her sister's husband.

Yowza. That's some fiery passion.

To honor her, The Lady Varnishes created She Lavas Me, She Lavas Me Not, a deep blue jelly-based polish filled with color shifting flakies and glitter:

Coverage: two coats
Formula and application: Jelly based; Excellent application.
Other issues: None--I wondered if this would stain, but I wore it for a couple of days, and it didn't.

This. Is. Stunning. I love how she captured the look of lava, and I love that she chose a dark blue base rather than a black base, because part of Pele's legends involve her lava floes clashing into the ocean. When I visited the Big Island, I was lucky enough to see where those floes met water--it's an amazing sight, especially at night.

I love the dark, dangerous beauty of this, so had to do something vampy but classy with my nail art:

Base: The Lady Varnishes She Lavas Me, She Lavas Me Not
Stamping Plate: UberChic Beauty Art Deco Elegance
Stamping Polish: MoYou London Ginger Rust

I love how sexy this polish is, and the art deco just adds to it! What do you think?

This polish will be available during PPU's January sale, from January 4th to January 7th. In the meantime, you can find The Lady Varnishes around the interwebs here:
