Hello!
Today we're going to take a look at two new plates from It Girl Nail Art--one of which is a limited edition, so if you like it, you're gonna want to grab it...
The first one is It Girl Nail Art LE104; this plate is a limited edition mini plate made for Polish Pickup's Augusts 'Musicals' theme:

I'm a HUGE fan of broadway musicals, so this plate gives me all the happy feels!! The images are all different sizes, so here's a shot with a ruler so you can get a sense:
The second plate is It Girl Nail Art IG123, which features a bunch of textures--and you know how much I love texture images:
The images on this plate are are 2.25 cm square. You can use them by themselves for fun designs, and you can layer them--but my favorite thing to do with plates like these is combine them with other images to give manis extra pop! I'll have a video review for this plate up on my YouTube channel soon.
On to the manis! For my first mani, I wanted to capture the magic of music! First I stamped images from LE104 on my nekkid nails with Kaleidoscope Black, then I added decals onto the tips that I made with Spellbound Nails Milky Way:

Then I wanted to see how it looked with black edges:

What do you think? I think I like the edged, matted version the best. :)
For my second mani, I wanted to go more specific...I started with a base of Zoya Darcy, then stamped an image from IG123 that reminded me of an African savanna or a beautiful African textile, using It Girl Nail Art Mimosa (launching shortly!). Finally, I stamped the Lion King image with Kaleidoscope Black, to resemble the Lion King playbill:

I love how warm this came out--the colors have a glow to them that makes me think of the show. :)
For today's final look, I wanted to recreate the Hamilton playbill...I started with a base of Zoya Darcy, then sponged over it with Zoya Flynn. Then I stamped in image from IG123 with Zoya Desiree, and finished off the look with the Hamilton image from LE104, stamped with Kaleidoscope Black:

I loved the shiny look, so I took pictures before I matted it to make it look more like the playbill:

I'll be back next time with a Phantom of the Opera mani, so stay tuned for that!
If you love Broadway musicals and want to snap up LE 104, it will be available between August 3 and 6th during the Polish Pickup sale, and come hang out in the Polish Pickup Pack in the meantime for sneak peeks. Plate IG123 will be available shortly in It Girl Nail Art's store. In the meantime, follow IGNA around the interwebs here:

Hello! I just started nail stamping recently and I’m finding that the stamping polish in my kit takes forever to dry. Is there anything I can do for faster drying? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteP.S. loving your blog! ❤️
So sorry not to reply before, I just discovered for some reason I'm not getting my notifications! I don't know anything that will make the stamping polish dry faster, most methods would probably smudge it (fast-dry topcoat, etc.). Honestly, my suggestion is try a different stamping polish...<3
