Hello!
Just when you thought stamping couldn't get any better because the clear stamper came in and rocked your world, here comes the crystal stamper 2.0 from Messy Mansion to blow your mind
Because the barrel is clear, so you can see through it and not just down it.
Oh, and--it has a lid.
Yes, those two things make a huge difference--the see-through barrel makes it almost impossible to mess up your placement, and the lid keeps your stamping head clean--the less you have to clean it, the longer it's gonna last. And for someone like me with five fur babies, anything that can keep dog and cat hair off my stamper is near magical as far as I'm concerned.
I made a video testing out how well the stamper picks up and applies; in the process I tested out two of Messy Mansion's stamping polishes, Chalk (their white), and Soft Gold (their gold). To see how their silver and black polishes did, click here.
Here's the video review I did of all the products for your viewing pleasure:
Let's take a look at how this stamper stacks up next to the frosted-barrel clear stamper:

You can see they're about the same size, and you can see that it's much easier to see through the barrel of version 2.0. Here's a closer look at the item alone:

Of course it comes with a scraper--this is a thick scraper and I love the control it gives me:

And let's take a look at visibility through the barrel--first look at the old-school version:
Now take a look at version 2.0:

Not only is visibility on this excellent through almost every angle, the barrel allows the light through so you don't have to worry about angling the barrel correctly to get enough light.
Let's shift gears and look at the polishes. Stamping polishes need to be opaque and need pick up well, especially white, which often doesn't show up well over dark colors. I tested out Messy Mansion Chalk and Soft Gold:

Here are stills from the live test I did--you can see the precision and opacity:

I didn't pick the best image to show details, and the gold reflected a bit--you can see it better in the video as I'm moving my finger around. But the point here is that it picked up the image well and covered well.
How does that white polish perform over dark colors? Here it is over black:
Check out that opacity! This stands up to dark colors even better than Konad White--just amazing.
And...it doesn't smudge...here are the two polishes with Seche Vite on top:

I'm absolutely sold on both the stamper and the polishes. The stamper has amazing visibility and an awesome lid to keep me from destroying my stamping head or getting pet hair all over it. And I love this line of polishes--they cover well, pick up well, super easy to work with. Win, win win!
You can find these products in Messy Mansion's store, and don't forget to follow them on Facebook for news and updates.
Happy Stamping!!
