Hello!
From the moment I saw the polishes in the Zoya Sunsets collection (see my full review here) I knew I had to do some sort of gradient with them. I decided to go with the name, and try to do a tropical sunset sort of look. I also didn't want to do the typical thing with the gradient on all of the nails, so I decided to go for a skittle.
To accent the sunset, I wanted to add some tropical flowers so I went with one of the hibiscus images from UberChic Beauty 9-01:
I did a gradient with Zoya Liv, Brynn, Dixie and Cam on three fingers. I used Liv only for one of the remaining nails, and on the nail with the decal, I used Brynn. I made hibiscus flower decal using Ness, Dixie, and Cam (I stamped the image itself with Messy Mansion Carbon). Here's how it came out:

What do you think? I like it okay, but I feel like I overblended the gradient on the index and pinkie, I wish it was a little more spread out like on the thumb. I also feel like it needs something--maybe a glitter topper on one of the nails, or a coat of fairy dust over the whole thing. Still, it's pretty and I enjoyed wearing it!
Happy stamping,
M.
Beautiful combination! Perfect gradient and flawless stamping...I am in such awe!!

DeleteAnother amazing hibiscus flower mani from you!! (and these colours.. ♥)
ReplyDeleteAh, don't worry about how the gradient is not all even; I see it as different stages of a sunset. :)
Yes! Yes! That's what I'll say I was trying to do! lol. ;-) I do tend to like hibiscus flowers, I think I'm trying to vicariously re-live my vacation to Hawaii. Which was over 10 years ago now...OMG...sigh...
