Hello!
I know you've heard of thermal polishes, and I know you've heard of 'spot it' polishes that do liquid nail art effects--but have you heard of the thermal spot it polishes?!
I'm going to show you one today, Bow by Dance Legend, in Yin Yang Blur. This polish applies like a dark gray, but when it gets hot, it turns a milky white. Here's how it looks cold, over Lantern & Wren Illuminate:

And here's a half-and-half contrast:

But, of course, some like it hot:

I like it both ways, but adore how it looks like steam or clouds in the hot version. That would make amazing ghost manis at Halloween!
One of the things I love to do with polishes like this is play with stamping. So I stamped a design in a similar color, so I could get a cool reveal when the polish turned:

Stamping Polish(es): Sally Hansen Grease Lightning
I like how it looks even when the polish is dark, but when it turns light, it looks supercool!! You can go nuts with all sorts of fun looks.
You can buy these polishes now at Lantern & Wren. :)

Nice! I ordered some. I've tried stamping with other thermals but they just aren't opaque enough.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! I've played with a few that just didn't work well...:(
DeleteVery cool! My mind is having a hard time wrapping around this one LOL!
ReplyDeleteRight?!?! Mind. Blown. So cool!
DeleteWait, what? I have to echo tiggs' thoughts on this one, lol. So weird but such an interesting polish.
ReplyDeleteIt really is! But lots of fun, too. :)
