Hello!!
Ah, fall. I love this time of year, even if it doesn't quite feel like fall here yet...temps are still in the 80s and there's no sign of it stopping soon.
But that's okay. It's fall in my heart. So I've decided to welcome it with this mani.
I started with a base of Misa Eye Candy; you might remember I told you a while back about a collection of Misa polishes that have rich, saturated colors with a wax/satin finish? Well this is another of those polishes, with in a fiery reddish-orange shimmer:

Then, I did a double-stamp over three of the nails using the leafy tree portion of MoYou London Mother Nature 05 (aka Landscape back in the day); first I stamped with Sally Hansen I-rush Luck, and then with Lickety-Split Lime:
Hey Purple Rain! This thumb's for you! |
This is one of my favorite manicures I've done in a long time, I lover how vibrant the base is and how the stamping polishes play off of this. I wish I had a skirt this color with this design going across the bottom! It's such a perfect fall look, and I love the depth created by the two layers of stamping. I don't know how I'm going to bear to take it off, honestly. ::pouts::
So what do you think? Are you ready for fall?
Hugs,
M.
Soooo pretty!! I have so missed your posts! Something has been going on with my email I guess. I had to add you on bloglovin! Finally got a post today! Thank goodness you posted that youtube video or I would still be missing out!
ReplyDeleteWow, I wonder what's going on?! Another reader said something about that too. I'm glad you found your way back!!
DeleteThe green leaves goes so well with the orangey red base here.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I wouldn't have thought of avocado green, but had it nearby when I was playing with the colors and boom! :)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Love the idea of a skirt with this design&colour scheme!
(but not ready for autumn even a bit, we hardly had any summer around here *le sigh*)
My pleasure! ;-) Send that cool weather over to me, we can do a swap. :)
Deletethose are gorgeous! wish I could do that lol. There is no fall where I'm living ( Barbados ) and I miss it sooo much!
ReplyDeleteYou could totally do it, you just need the equipment for the nail stamping. Ah, Barbados...you come here for a couple of weeks and I'll go there, lol :P
DeleteI wish had half your talent! This is so cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! :)
DeleteLove this! Can you just come be my personal nail polish painter? Haha I am just so horrible at doing my nails!

ReplyDeleteYour nail art is fab! Wish I had such a steady hand for it :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's the beauty of nail stamping, you don't have to have a steady hand. :)
DeleteIt looks very nice!

DeleteI really like the colors you picked! It's perfect for the transition from Summer to Fall. I wish I could do designs like this on my nails.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's not as hard as you think. It's nail stamping, so you just need the equipment, no talent--that's why I can do it, lol. :)
DeleteYour nails look awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteThis colour is so perfect! I love it. It looks almost matte? Really lovely - not sure how I'd feel about green on my nails though! :)
ReplyDeleteKatie <3
Yes, the base polish is a matte polish. It's some of the coolest matte polish I've seen, there are several colors in the collection and they have shimmer despite the matte finish--I love it!
DeleteOMG so beautiful!! I love these colors together and for fall!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! :)
DeleteGorgeous colours, beautiful stamping, and amazing nails!! Love!!
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you! :)
DeleteSo pretty! The red is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Isn't it amazing?
DeleteMy goodness! What a pretty nail design!! Love your nails!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteSo talented with the nail art! I'm super impressed!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!
DeleteWow, what a great job! I could never do that!
ReplyDeleteThank you! But you could totally do it. :)
DeleteNice detailing! Definitely festive for fall. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat are these stamps that you used?
ReplyDeleteThey're nail stamping plates; they're metal plates etched with designs in them. You put polish over the designs, scrap the excess away, then use a stamper to pick up the design and put it on your nail. I love it!! These are from MoYou London (Mother Nature collection 05) , one of my favorite companies for nail plates. :)
Deleteoh wow this is seriously cool love the colour
ReplyDeleteThey have an amazing teal and deep plum, too...sigh...
DeleteThat nail art is very pretty. Detailed too.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! :)
DeleteI don't own anything like this color. I think I need to get it though. It is pretty!
ReplyDeleteIt also has a great formula and I had it on for 4 days without a chip. Amazing for a matte!!
DeleteYes Please! Bring on the fall. I love the color and the design. Can you do my nails for me? LOL
ReplyDeleteFall can't come fast enough! Sure, come on over, I'll get you all fixed up! :)
DeleteI wish I had more time as these are absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the things I love about stamping, it's soooo fast! :)
DeleteThose fall leaves look amazing!!! Please come and do my nails :)
ReplyDeleteHang on, I'm on my way...:)
DeleteI love the way it turned out! I shudder to think at what it would like if I tried that :)
ReplyDeleteNo, I promise you could do this. That's what great about this design, you're totally placing it randomly. There's no way to mess it up!! :)
DeleteThe design is perfect for Fall! Such a pretty base color too!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! :)
