Review: Born Pretty Store QGirl plates 041 and 046 (plus simple St. Patrick's day mani!)

(Press sample)

Hello!!

Born Pretty Store recently sent me two Qgirl plates to try out; I've never heard of this brand before, and I'm always down to try something new.

I did a video discussing the plates and testing them out:

I love the packaging that these plates come in; they have square holders, but check out what the holders can do:

Inside the plate is nestled into an insert which prevents it from slipping out until you pull the entire insert out--and there is a hole at the top so you can store these on a ring if you want to!

Let's take a look out of the passage and with the blue film off:

I love the soft waves on this, plus the texture of the net-like image and the weave. And the flower doodles remind me of the coloring books that are so hot right now.

I love how all the geometrics on this plate touch one another so you can take your image from overlapping areas if you want to. And the flower things remind me a little of shamrocks...

So how did they stamp? Pretty darn well:

I didn't have any issues with transfer or crisp lines--excellent stamping.

For my sample mani, I wanted to do something with those 'shamrocks' for St. Patrick's day...I started with a lovely green glitter holo, Potion Polish Mistletoe Smooches:

And then I added a few shamrocks with Barry M Gold Foil effects:

I love this for a fast St. Patrick's day look--if you're going out tonight, you've still got time to rock this. And that green is so hololicious, I can't stop drooling!

Happy stamping, and happy St. Paddy's day!!
