Review: Symetrika 01, 02, and 03 plates from Messy Mansion

Hello!

I love, love, love discovering a new line of plates, and I'm completely obsessed with the Symetrika line available from Messy Mansion. Today I'm going to show you the first three from the line...

Of course I did a video review, where I discuss ideas for using the images and do a live stamping test:

Let's take a look at the plates :

Ah...so much elegant awesomeness, with a little bit of geometric flash thrown in. My favorite on this plate is the one on the upper right--it reminds me of the beams on the structure of the Eiffel tower. But, honestly, there's not a single image on this plate that I don't love.

Also, I like that there's no space between the images. That way, if you want to take part of two overlapping images, you can; check out my video to see what I mean by that.

This one is mosaic madness! The possibilities with these are endless--you can leadlight, use reversed-stamping, add sequins, dots, glitters--play with your options and have a blast, because these are super user-friendly for all of those options.

Oh. My. Gosh. I can't say enough about the intricate designs here. So elegant! Any of these will make your mani look like you have a fashion masterpiece on your nails.

Hey, how big are those images? Approximately 1 inch tall and 3/4 of an inch wide:

And hey, how do they stamp! I got bold images, with excellent lines and definition:

For my sample mani, I started with a base of Spellbound Nails Bunny Butt, a super-springy soft pink crelly with hot pink glitter (you can see my full review of their Easter Quartet here):

Then I stamped two images from Symetrika 03, using Sally Hansen Snappy Sorbet:

I love me some pink and coral together, and this pattern together with those colors makes me feel like I'm in some fancy villa on a sunny beach in Mexico. It's refreshing and elegant at the same time--what an awesome way to take your spring pastels into summer brights.

And this mani is a great example of what can happen when you mix and match different images from the plates--I love that the desings have a similar feel, but are different enough to give the manicure variation.

You can find these plates and many more at Messy Mansion's site, here. You can also follow Messy Mansion on Facebook for updates, and on Instagram for inspiration.

Happy stamping!
M.
