Hello!


How's it going? I'm in the middle of NaNoWriMo, which means I'm trying to write 50,000 words in the month of November. This is my seventh year, and I've managed 'win' every year except one...so wish me luck!


But you're here for nail art stuff, huh? ;-) Today we're going to take a look at Dixie Plates Textures & Patterns 01...Here's the video review I did of the plate:

The images are very generous, 2.1 x 2.5 cm, so even long nails should have no problems. This is an excellent plate for beginners, because you can get cute, simple looks with these images on their own, but these images are perfect for combining with other images. In my sample manicures below I'm going to show you the images used on their own, and then when I review her Cute Animals 01 plate, I'll show you how beautifully they combine with other plates.


Here are the three sample looks I did in the video:

And let's jump into the manicures! For the first, I started with a base of Painted Polish Badass Beauty, and stamped using Girly Bits Cosmetics Bronze Goddess:

I love the lacy look to this, I feel like this is what Marie Antoinette would've worn on her nails if she could have...


My second look is Messy Mansion Hydrangea Blue over Supernatural Lacquer In Search Of Ourselves:

And I had to see how this one looked matted:

And finally, I wanted to use the geometric pattern in a sci-fi sort of look, so I put it over Paint It Pretty Polish If I Don't Invest In Myself No One Else Will, a magnetic with gorgeous flakies and duochrome that screams 'make me galaxy nails!", stamped with Moyra Silver:
