About a week ago, I had the honor of being selected by two wonderful bloggers to receive the Versatile Blogger award! One of the people who nominated me was Skye at Curly Polish, and the other was Katherine at Rambles Of A Polish Addict. Katherine also nominated me for the Liebster award! I am really, really touched that these ladies chose me when there are so many amazing blogs out there these days. Thank you so much!!!

1) I was recently adopted by an American Staffordshire (pit bull) puppy, found abandoned near my home.
2) I was recently adopted by a kitten, found dying on my back porch.
3) That puppy, that kitten, and the three cats I had before are the loves of my life. :) But I can't take on any more, lol!!
4) I have just begun watching Dexter and Breaking Bad, and I love them both!
5) I love hockey.
6) I am one of very few people who love fruitcake and candy corn. Probably not together, though.
7) I am addicted to the show 'Chopped', and love watching people cook with really, really, REALLY strange ingredients.
Here are the 11 questions I am supposed to answer:
1) why did you start your blog?
I discovered nail stamping about a year ago, give or take a few weeks. I started taking pictures of what I did to show my friends on my facebook page, and when I kept doing more and more and more, I decided that rather than constantly posting those pictures and my explanations, I'd just start a blog where my friends who were interested could see them, and those that weren't didn't have to see them all the time, lol. I am continually surprised (and extremely happy) that other people are interested in what I post! :)
I was playing around with the word 'lacquer' and it was a pun that made me laugh, so I went with it. Some days I'm sick of it, but most days it still makes me smile. :)
The cutie balm I got when I ordered from The Nail Junkie. It has repeatedly saved my life this winter as I've changed my nail polish daily. That and Zoya's nail polish remover, which is the only reason I still have any skin on my fingers left at all.
Right now that would probably be Katy Perry or Pink. I saw Katy in concert and it was amazing! I want to see Pink, but OMG the tickets are way more than I can afford.
I love flourishy filigree type patterns, but I usually stamp them rather than paint them. :)

When my pictures won't come out right!!! Like today, I am swatching the China Glaze Avant Garden collection and I have two purples that I can't get to come out true to color no matter what I do. GRAAHHH!!
