Review: 6 Harts Polish

Hello!!

Today I'm going to take a look at some lovelies by 6 Harts Polish. I saw one of these polishes in a nail group I'm in, and had to have it...I'm sure you know how that is, lol...and I was so pleased with it and the others that I had to share them with you.

The polish I initially saw and fell in love with is Midnight Delight, a beautiful vampy dark purple that goes almost to black around the edges, but shines like a deep jewel in the center. That would be enough on its own, but the polish also contains a sprinkle of silver glitters that give it just that extra dose of pop:

6 Harts Midnight delight; check out that luminous shimmer...sigh...

This polish is wonderful when worn inside, and I fell in love with it before I ever saw it in full sunlight (in fact, the first time I wore it, the sun decided not to come out!). But, it springs into another dimension when full light hits it; the shimmer gets a turbo-boost and the light flicks off of the glitters to top it off. Simple, elegant, gorgeous.

While browsing her store, my eye was also taken by this lovely, Ninja Bat; the name is too awesome for words, of course, but I was taken with the fun mix of white, red, silver and black glitters of various sizes, all nestled in a sparkling micro-flakie-esque clear base:

When I ordered it, I thought I had the perfect gray to wear under it to showcase the polish, but I was wrong (turns out I don't have but two gray polishes--how did that happen??!!). So, with my two existing polishes, I frankened a base for it! You know a polish is beautiful when you feel like you have to make the perfect base for it, lol. I wanted something that would show off both the black glitters and the luminescent sparkle in the base without taking away from the color combination. And of course since it was going under a polish called 'Ninja Bat'...I had to name it 'Bat Undies'. :) I love how this combination came out--this glitter just feels like it's dancing across my fingernails. :)

The last polish I have is a mini that the owner included as a random surprise bonus. She didn't know that I was going to review these polishes--heck, I didn't even know it myself--it was just a sweet thing that she did. It's called Spring Rain, and it's a soft gray with a flash that I'm going to call minty-blue, because I spent ages staring at it trying to decide if it was mint or if it was blue, lol! After deciding on that description, I checked what she'd written about it and was very happy to discover that I'm not going crazy--it is in fact both green and blue--it's a duochrome shimmer, and oh-so-sublime:

This is a beautiful, soft polish suitable for the work place, for a gentle manicure when you're in a more calm sort of mood, and is an excellent base for nail art. The only problem with this polish is that I couldn't capture the pretty flash as much as it showed in real life! You can see it here, but it is more pronounced than my camera wanted to capture.

The formula on all of these polishes were fine. Midnight Delight and Spring Rain will both cover in two coats if you're careful, although I used three for the swatch of Spring Rain to be sure.  My pictures of Ninja Bat show one coat, and while I did just brush the polish on rather than use the dab method, I did adjust where some of the glitter lay to suit my liking. :)

You can find these and other 6 Hart polishes by clicking here. Her polishes are three-free and cruelty-free, and range in price from $8-9 depending on ingredients. I guarantee I'll be returning for more...:)

Thanks for reading! Hugs, love, and duochrome-flashing polishes,
M.

(Midnight Delight and Ninja Bat were purchased with my own money. Spring Rain was included as a random bonus by the owner, who did not know that these polishes would be reviewed.)
