Hello!!
Today is one of those cool days when a bunch of stars in my polish world come together. First, in my Freakin' Fingers Holo challenge, this week's holo color is brown--so I'm going to show you the brownest holo I have. Second, I recently uploaded my video review of MoYou London's Scholar Collection plates 02 and 06, and have been looking foward to making this mani with it.
So, first, here is the video review:
Second, here are still images of the plates (but note, they have made some changes to plate 02, mostly minor, so be sure to double-check the image there before buying):

I love books, and as a professor, I love learning and scholarship. I've been a teacher and a researcher, and I've been an avid reader my whole life. These plates were practically made for me. :)
For the holo-tastic base of my manicure, I chose Mentality Proper, a copper-brown lightly linear holo:

Have you ever tried to write with a quill? I did, back when I was learning calligraphy. 'Cause, you know, it's cool. But, it's also messy:

Geeky librarian, or sexy librarian? Both, I say. With plenty of holo peeking through. :)
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Cute stamping plates these are. I really like the letters too.
ReplyDeleteThey really are!
DeleteGreat mani. I love the idea you used with the quill pen and spatters. I never used a quill pen but my mom used to have a fountain pen that you had to draw the ink up in to use and it was so messy and probably similar.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, I went through a period where I thought fountain pens like that were cool...::shudders::
DeleteAww, #2 is SUCH a sweet plate! Love love love it! Especially the images with, err, yeah, the flying elements. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd that mani of yours is just perfect!
ROFL!!! Thank you. :)
DeleteI LOVE this mani!!! I didn't get this plate because I didn't know what i would do with it, but now that i've seen your mani i might just go for it!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! That's so sweet of you to say!
DeleteThis mani is SO you! I really think they had you in mind when they designed these plates. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you! You just put visions into my head of what I'd do if I designed my own plates...now that's fun to think about!
DeleteOMG i love this!!
ReplyDeleteGeeky librarian for sure!
hee hee hee...:)
DeleteI did a recreation of this, and will have it up on my blog on monday. :)
DeleteStart getting excited now :P
Oh, how cool!! I can't wait to see it!!!
