Hello!
Today I have a quick mani for you that was almost a disaster, but that turned itself around!
I started with Barielle First Class Ticket, a bright sky blue creme:

Then I dabbed on a coat of Barielle Amethyst, a dusty lavender glitter:

Then I thought it'd be fun to do some stamping over the glitter so the gitter would peek out. I stamped on my middle finger with Konad white, using MoYou London Kaleidoscope 04 (you can see my full review for that plate here). The look was waaay bolder than I thought it would be, and I knew it wasn't going to look right with the same stamping over all my fingers...so I decided to leave my index finger unstamped, and stamped my ring and pinkie using Barielle First Class Ticket:

Love that peek-a-boo glitter |
I absolutely love the way this came out! The more subtle blue allows the white stamping to pop in a good way, with the right amount of bam! I think this is a fun, edgy way to wear spring colors and I didn't want to take it off. :)
Do you have any of the kaleidoscope plates?
Happy Polishing,
M.
That blue you used here is gorgeous! Really like the after of the nail art :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was really worried there for a minute, lol!! :)
DeleteI don't have any of those plates. First Class Ticket is a beautiful blue!
ReplyDeleteYou can do a similar thing with other designs--this would be beautiful with henna-type patterns! :)
Deletei love the kaleidoscope plates from moyou :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving them more and more and more...:)
DeleteI love it! I don't own any kaleidoscope plates but I definitely want too!
ReplyDeleteYou could totally do this with other patterns, too. No limits! To infinity and beyond!
DeleteI love how it turned out and Barielle First Class Ticket looks pretty as a stamping polish!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great!? I love a double-duty polish like that, lol.
DeleteAmazing blue <3
ReplyDeletexoxo, Nyx
I love love love it. :)
DeleteGreat idea to stamp over a glitter topper !
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's tricky to get it right, but I'm learning. :)
Deletewow that blue is gorge
ReplyDeleteLove it. :)
DeleteI'm not a huge fan of that glitter. I think they are way to big and they don't spread out super nice. But you saved it with the stamping.
ReplyDeleteIt was my least favorite from that collection, I admit. I'm not fond of one-note glitters, but in this case it really worked. :)
Deletewow I liked this mani a lot
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteThat turned out well. Come do my nails next! I love the subtlety of the ring and pinkie fingers with the blue stamping. This is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Do you live in CA? I'll be right over! ;-)
DeleteOoo great mani - I love the stamping over the glitter. I feel like these glitters are "out of fashion" but I still have a soft spot for them and great to see them used in a mani like this.
ReplyDeleteYes! They were the first glitters that came out, back in the day...so I guess that makes this a retro glitter, lol!
DeleteGorg blue! Love how this turned out too!
ReplyDeleteThank you thank you!
DeleteThis look is incredible!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI love that shade of blue so much and the stamping looks really so awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a great blue. And thank you!
DeleteBarielle is one of my favorite brands. Their cremes are perfect.
ReplyDeleteAgree 100%. I love their stuff and I'm so glad they're doing glitters again...:)
DeleteI love it too!
ReplyDeleteGoooorgeous. I love how you stamped over it and just MADE it work.
ReplyDeleteYou showed it who the boss was, and it was EPIC!
