Inspiration Before & After: 'B' is for Beadwork

Hello everyone!

Today I have a Before & After for you that was inspired by a pair of shoes I love! This all started with me putting on Zoya's Crystal:

Zoya Crystal--indirect light

Zoya Crystal--direct sun

Zoya Crystal is a slate-blue polish with a gold and silver glass-flecked finish. You know I love these finishes, and this is one of the nicest I've seen. Pretty, subtle bling!

The next day I was going to a picnic and planned on wearing these shoes, and I was struck at how much the polish reminded me of the colors in the beadwork...and an idea was born: I'd make a matching pattern on my nails.

Here is how it came out:

Shade

Sun

Indirect light
I used gleequins and circular studs to make the flowers, and used Sonia Kashuk Fairy Princess and Pure Ice Silver Mercedes to make the accents. I covered the whole thing liberally with Seche Vite.

This isn't something I'd wear everyday, but I really love it. Hope you do, too. :)

Please check out the other 'B' manicures done by my fellow bloggers, linked below. :)

  2. Crystal is a great polish but it looks even more fabulous with all the bling! (p.s. the censoring of the toes is much appreciated).
