Review and Before & After: MoYou London Kaleidoscope 06

(Nothing to disclose)

Hello!!

I've been wanting to do this manicure ever since I first saw the MoYou London Kaleidoscope plates. ::does happy dance::

First, here is my video review of the plate, Kaleidoscope 06:

And here are the stills:

And here's how  big the images are in comparison to Konad:

MoYou London Kaleidoscope 06 vs. Konad

To start, I used Barielle Midnight In Paris, a deep blue shimmer with a slight purple flash (sent for review from Barielle's Jetsetter collection; you can see my review here):

I wanted to go for a kaleidoscope look, so I wanted to add a layer of light-reflecting particles without losing the full color of the basecoat; I added a layer of Orly Mirrorball, which is an amazeballs holographic topcoat with a sprinkle of tiny hex glitters--if you don't have it, I suggest going out and finding it right this instant:

Then I added a medium player of Nayll Precious, a polish I made myself (you can see my review here); it's a clear glitter with silver, copper, and gold glitters. Then, I stamped over it all with Barielle Midnight In Paris to pull back that base color:

I know this is a lot of look, but I really love it. I love the concept, and I think it really does look like an awesome kaleidoscope; I also love how these polishes came together. I definitely wouldn't wear this for an every day look, but I love this for New Year's Eve, or for going out to a fun club or glitzy party. Hope you like it too!

Hugs,
M.

  8. Oh holy wow! That is amazing! I love those plates but couldn't picture how to use polish so it'd look like an actual kaleidoscope. You pulled it off with flair! I think it'd be dangerous to drive in the sunshine with with nails. I'd be too busy staring at them instead of the road! Simply gorgeous!!

    1. LOL!! Yes, they are definitely shiny and sparkly and glittery! And I do admit I spent a lot of time wiggling my fingers at myself. Mr. LOLH actually made a comment about my sanity, lol!
