Nicole Diary plates and polishes!

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

Today we're going to take a look at a new-to-me brand, Nicole Diary. They sent me three plates and three polishes to review. So let's get a move on! Here's the video review I did of the plates:

And here's a closer look:

Nicole Diary ND-026:

I love the beautiful face on that girl, and the music notes coming out behind her!

Here's Nicole Diary ND-027:

Lots of pretty flowers here for a variety of floral manis. :)

And finally, Nicole Diary ND-L001:

Nicole Diary ND-L001

Such a great plate for summer, and if you're an ice cream fan...

I was really pleased with the quality of the plates:

These were all done with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Plummet, and my clear stamper--and the detail is amazing.

Next, let's take a look at the three holo polishes they sent me to try...first is Nicole Diary My Dance 009, a cherry red holo:

Formula and application: Excellent

This is a great red for all your holiday manis--festive and sparkly and blingy and fun.

Then there's Nicole Diary My Dance 014, a royal blue holo:

Coverage: 2 coats
Formula and application: Excellent

This makes me think of winter night skies...and it's the perfect base for snowfall manis...

And finally, we have Nicole Diary My Dance 015, a gorgeous green-teal duochrome holo:

OMG, seriously, I'm so in love with that teal!!! And how perfect would this be for a Christmas tree mani?

Okay, on to the manicures! For my manicure with ND-026, I started with a base of Shinespark Polish Pretty Unicorn, and stamped with Messy Mansion Soft Gold. Then I leadlighted with Shinespark Polish Moondust, a holo topcoat, over some of the stripes in the angel's wings:

I think with her sweet face and the pretty wings, she makes a gorgeous Christmas angel.

For my mani with ND-027, I picked started with Zoya Solstice, and picked two flower patterns to mix and match for a single-pass skittle, with Kaleidoscope ST-02 White:

I can't get enough of Zoya Solstice, and I'm really impressed with how well Kaleidoscope ST-02 White stamps--excellent quality.

Since it's winter in my hemisphere, I challenged myself to come up with two holiday manis using ND-L001. When I looked at the beach images on the plate while thinking of Christmas, the first thing that popped into my mind was Christmas With The Kranks--how they plan on going on a cruise to avoid Christmas--so I did a Christmas With The Kranks mani! I started with My Dance 015, then added a layer of Hit Polish O Christmas Tree. Then I stamped and filled in my images using Messy Mansion ChalkColor Club Foxy MamaHit The Bottle Polish A Rose By Any Other Name, and Pure Ice Wild Thing:

What do you think? Have you seen the movie? They never actually make it on the cruise, but they get fake tans and buy swimsuits and all that stuff, so this is sort of like the postcard they were hoping to send.

And for my second mani with this plate, I started with a base of Orly Mirrorball, and double-stamped my image with Messy Mansion Chalk and Red-y Or Not to create peppermint lollipops:

This is such a cute, festive mani! I love the holo flash and the sparkling glitters, it's like a winter candy wonderland.

Phew!! That was a lot of stuff!!!

NOTD: Color Club Foxy Mama + MoYou London Flower Power Plate 02

(Affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!!

Today I have a summery, flowery mani made using MoYou London Flower Power plate 02...This plate has been out for a while and I've had a video out, but haven't had time to show you the mani because of my computer crash, etc. Here's the video if you missed it:

And here's a closer look at the plate:

These designs have a retro 60's feel to me, with a little bit of country chic thrown in. Very different from any other flower designs I've seen, and I had to own them!

For my mani I started with Color Club Foxy Mama, a neon orange-yellow shimmer, then I stamped with Sally Hansen Lightning and Rapid Red:

I love the bright colors with the yummy shimmer, and I love how the two images work with each other. :)

Wishing you long days lounging in these last weeks of summer sun,

Review: Winstonia Wisdom of Henna Plate

(Press samples and affiliate links** ahead!)

Hello!

Are you ready for the third plate I have to show you from Winstonia? This time we're going to look at the Wisdom Of Henna plate, one of the lovelies I featured in this video:

So let's take a closer look:

Winstonia Wisdom of Henna

Let's talk size:

Winstonia Wisdom of Henna

These images should be big enough to cover your nails unless they're reaaaally long or reaaaaaally wide.

But, but, but...does it stamp?

I call that some pretty darn good stamping, my friends!

For my first sample manicure, I stared with Ladybug Lacquer Blowing Bubbles and then stamped with Messy Mansion Chalk:

I love how the glitters peek out from in between the design, and I love how soft and pretty this all is.

For my second manicure, I tried something I've been wanting to play around with for a while--lacy stamping on nekkid nails. I stamped with Messy Mansion Soft Gold and Chalk directly onto three of my nails (well, I had basecoat on), and on the other two I put a coat of Color Club Marina, then stamped on top with Chalk. Finally, I added two stripes of Marina to the ring finger:

I'm not sure how I feel about the ring finger--I think maybe the gold stripes on the side should be wider or something. But other than that, I love it!!! And I really love how pretty the white looks directly on the nail, I'm gonna have to play around with that some more.

You can find this plate in the Winstonia store use MICH10 for 10% off your entire purchase; you can also buy it through Amazon if that's easier for you. And you can follow Winstonia on both Facebook and Instagram for updates on sales and tons of inspiration. :)

Happy stamping,
M.

Review & Mani: UberChic Beauty Fabulous Feathers mini plate

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello nail lovelies!

Today I have the second of the new mini plates from UberChic Beauty, their Fabulous Feathers plate. I have a video with this plate and the Nautical plate if you prefer your reviews in motion:

And here are the still shots:

I love love LOVE peacock feathers of all sorts, and even if this plate had nothing else on it, I'd need it for that reason alone. I love the elegant stylized peacock feather design that looks like a beautiful tail cascading down, and the close-up of the end of the tail with the curvies framing it. Then the one with the little hearts for the dots--so many choices in just peacock feathers! And then there are the other beauties, some that look like falling leaves, and some with such beautiful full-nail texture.

The full-nail images are the same size as the ones on UberChic Beauty's other plates, a little more than 3/4 of an inch by a little under 3/4 of an inch:

And the stamping quality is top-notch as always:

Normally when I do peacock manicures, I choose shades of blue, green, and blue-leaning purples, so I thought I'd go for something a little different this time. For my first manicure, I started with a base of Julep Mickey, a right magenta with a purple-pink shimmer:

Then I stamped two of the images from the plate with Hit The Bottle Polishes Copper-Haired Girl, and decorated with Zoya Tanzy and Zoya Rory:

I do like how this came out, but it didn't quite have the bright pop that I wanted, and the colors were crazy hard to take pictures of for some reason together. So I did a second version! This time I started with Color Club Foxy Mama, a bright-as-can-be orange neon with a yellow shimmer:

Then I stamped the images using Sally Hansen Rapid Red, and decorated with Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and Zoya Reece:

What do you think? That's a lot of look! I love the pop of the red against the orange, but I love the more jewel-toned version too. The orange is great for a fun summer party, while the first one has more of a fall feel to me. Do you prefer one over the other?

You can find this gorgeous plate in UberChic Beauty's store, and don't forget to follow them on Facebook for updates, sales, and other awesome info.

Happy stamping!
