Nails 4 Ways: Fergie Ferguson Crest Syrah

Hello!!!

I've never really been too tempted by the Fergie by Wet n Wild polishes...all I'd really seen was the glitters, and I wasn't too impressed by them. But then... I saw Ferguson Crest Syrah. Horrible, horrible, horrible name--beautiful polish. It's a brown-magenta-purple multichrome with a flecked finish. I did wear it for nearly a day before I had a chance to take pictures, so please excuse the tipwear:

I couldn't decide what to do with it, because I had two ideas, so I decided to show you both of them, and combine them. :)

First, I decided to stamp on it with Sally Hansen Brisk Blue and Cheeky Gals plate GA29
Plus Sally Hansen Brisk Blue GA29; I wanted to create a rich, bright contrast--oh yeah baby, this is not something you wear to work:

But hey, maybe a Polished Pairing is more to your liking. I thought that might be fun, so I combined it with Hit Polish (aka, D&R Apothecary) Wisteria Lane:

And maybe you're like me, and you just can't decide...I understand. Sometimes I want to wear ALL da polishes myself! Especially when they look this good together:

Ferguson Crest Syrah + Wisteria Lane + Brisk Blue = Holy crap that's bright, but awesome!

I admit. This is not for every occasion. Mardi Gras comes to mind...or some other extravagant, over the top fun event. But what can I say, I love to be crazy sometimes. :)

Which do you like best? Or do you think it looks best all by itself?

Thanks for looking. Big hugs!
M.

  1. Haha, "wear all the polishes!", I love it, I'm like that .. err, maybe too often, but the thing is, I have like NO sense whatsoever about what goes together well. I love playing with ideas, but mostly prefer wearing each polish by itself, especially ones as "rich" as this [base] one.

    1. I don't believe that at all! Just put things together that you think look nice, and voila! Even if it's not typical, who cares? That's how new trends are started. :)

  2. Oh hun, this is beyond pretty. I love it all. Wear all the polishes!
You are so good at showing off the polishes, they play so well together and yet they are so different. What's your secret?!

    2. You think? Aww thank you.
*blush* I have been really trying hard to take good care of them. They are not quite there yet, when it comes to having even nail-shapes, but I'm slowly getting there. Instead of forcing them into being squared I have come to realize they prefer being more oval, and just not let them get too long.

    3. I know what you mean. I'm coming to realize that mine are never going to be more than a certain amount long, unless I do something fake to them. *sigh*

    4. how delicate put, "something fake to them". :)

I have been thinking about trying gel-overlay, and see if I can grow them longer that way, but to be honest ... I'm afraid my gaming habits will kill them off anyway. Hitting the keyboard to hard = deadly.

    5. I've been using a no-light gel on the nail that I broke way down below the quick, while it grows out, as a patch. It is working okay, but I have to redo it every few days. Still, it keeps me being able to swatch and blog, and that's what matters. :)

    6. That's a clever one. :)
I have been thinking about maybe do something like that as well, to be able to grow them a bit longer + get my polishes to last longer while on holidays. Those no-light gels can be very useful, I have heard.
      Never taken the step thou.

    7. Hmm...let me know how it works for you...I've been using it under, as a base-coat patch, and it cracks a bit within a couple of days. Not sure if that's because it's under another polish, but the point is, I wouldn't risk too much on it lasting more than a couple of days. But who know, I might just be doing it wrong, too, lol!

    1. You are so sweet! But it's not true that yours are a mess. I've seen your blog, sorry, you can't fool me! :P

  4. FCS is a gorgeous polish, but yes-- YYY can't some of these companies just number their colors?! lol. I suppose that would take some of the fun out of it... -_-

    1. Right?? I mean, I know what they were going for, but it's clumsy and just doesn't work. A for effort, but...>.<

  5. Wow this color is gorgeous! I love both manicures you created with it too. Both have different feels but they work :)
