Zoya's Sensual Fall 2019 Collection

(Press samples ahead!)

Hello!

Today we're going to take a look at Zoya's Sensual Fall 2019 collection--I apologize this has taken me longer to get to you than I wanted, because of those family issues I mentioned before. I did do some live videos about the collection, but for those of you who only follow me here, I'm sorry it's taken awhile! So let me get on with it, and jump right in!

Zoya Ashton

Zoya Ashton

Coverage: 2 coats
Formula & application: Smooth as silk with excellent dry time.

This is a great one to start off with, since it's one of my favorites of the collection! It's vampy and goth but with a touch of sparkly shimmer because of the flecked finish--it's like being kissed under a night sky filled with fireflies. I love this for Halloween and all year round.

Zoya Briar

Zoya Briar

Zoya Briar

Coverage: 1-2 coats. You'll probably be fine with one, I'm wearing two here because of my ridges. :)
Formula & application: Excellent!

This is the workhorse of the collection, in my opinion--it goes with everything, it's professional but also pretty, it's a polish you can reach for time and again and be happy.

Zoya Elliot

Coverage: 1-2 coats . You'll almost certainly be fine with one coat unless you have super ridges!
Formula & application:  Perfection. :)

This shade is a lovely blend between royal blue and navy blue--like a smoked royal blue, maybe? It feels regal for sure, with a beautiful fall-sweater sort of feel. But if you're feeling a little bit more summer nautical before you transition, this'll work for that, too.

Zoya Etta

Ooooohhhhh yyyyyeeeessss. This is super sexy and perfectly fall! The shimmer to this gives a gorgeous depth that keeps your fingers pretty and intriguing.

Milk chocolate...cafe au lait...just like both those, this polish is just yummy. An excellent neutral for when you want something a little darker--love.

Zoya Joss

Coverage: 2 coats
Formula & application: Surprisingly smooth for a light creme!

The lightest of the three neutrals in the collection, this is like that stripe in your plaid that pulls the outfit together. And it's a perfect base for nail art, so what more can you ask?!

Zoya Kinsley

Coverage: 2 coats
Formula & application:  Smooth as silk. :)

I'll have extra foam on that cappucchino, please...Oh, what, my nails? They're perfect, aren't they? Sure, add a little pumpkin spice sprinkle on the top, I'm really in a fall mood for some reason today...

Zoya Margaret

Coverage: 1-2 coats; I'm wearing 2 for ridge reasons.
Formula & application: Perfection. :)

A beautiful tomato red, Margaret's perfect for when you're feeling a little sassy, or need a little extra kick of glam in your day.

Coverage: 1-2 coats; I'm wearing two to hide those ring-finger ridges.
Formula & application: Smooth and lovely. :)

A smoky light eggplant with a feminine touch, soft but rich at the same time.

My favorite of the collection! Rashida is hot hot HOT, and the shimmer makes the hot simmer and shine. LOVE.

Formula & application: Beautiful and easy.

A fun, bright magenta to give your fall looks a pop of happy color.

Zoya Vesper

Coverage: 1 coat
Formula & application: Easy and smooth :)

A smoky blue slate with a hint of periwinkle, this is like a night sky after a storm has passed through, mysterious and serene. Just gorgeous.

In terms of one-coat cremes, this collection is the highest performing I've seen yet--the formula on all the polishes were good and the only reason I needed two coats for any of the cremes was because of my one nail that refuses to play well with others. Zoya's outdone themselves here.

You can find this collection now on Zoya's website, or anywhere Zoya polishes are sold.

Big hugs,
M. xoxo

The Digital Dozen Does Wood & Copper with Supernatural Lacquer Do You Be-Leaf In Magic

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

Today I have another gorgeous polish to show you, this one available only as the Impeccably Iridescent Facebook group custom for September. Take a gander at the gorgeousness:

Supernatural Lacquer Do You Be-Leaf In Magic

Coverage: 2-3 coats; I got full coverage with two but put on three thin coats to rock out those flakies!
Formula: Gorgeous application, excellent dry time. Shiny finish without topcoat, but I'm wearing topcoat in these pics because that's just how I roll...

This polish is a grape-cabernet-type purple jelly filled with glitter and multichrome flakes that go from predominantly copper/gold to green and blue at the edges of the range. This polish looks like someone took a vat of fall and poured in a box of sexy. This manages to be elegant and vampy all at once, and it makes me feel like I have bits of fall leaves on my fingers.

I mentioned The Digital Dozen at the beginning of this post...this week the Digital Dozen is celebrating its 7th anniversary, so we're doing a wood-and-copper anniversary...but, you might be thinking, isn't the 7th anniversary the WOOL and copper anniversary? Um, yep. But a couple of us did wood, so it's gonna be the wood/wool/copper anniversary now! Anyway, the point is, this week I'll be bringing you wood and copper manicures. Which is why I wanted to show you this polish today, because the copper flakies in it are so stunning...but of course I'm gonna do some nail art that ups the copper quotient in honor of the theme, by doing a little stamping with a rich copper polish:

Base Polish(es): Supernatural Lacquer Do You Be-Leaf In Magic
Stamping Plate(s): Moyra 23 Vanity
Stamping Polish(es): Hit The Bottle Polish Copper-Haired Girl

To get this beauty, you need to be a member of the Impeccably Iridescent Facebook group; in the group you will find a link that will take you to the shop and generate the discount code so you can buy it--and for only $12. The polish will only be available from September 8th through 30th, but it's a preorder system, so there's enough for everyone who wants a bottle. I love it when everyone gets to be happy!

I'll be back tomorrow with an attempt to combine copper AND wood...

Big hugs,
M. xoxo

PPU Alert! Lanter & Wren's What's Up My Witches plate

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful long weekend!

Today we're going to take a look at Lantern & Wren's plate for this month's Polish Pickup sale, Lantern & Wren's What's Up My Witches:

Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches?

This is a super fun Halloween plate with a full assortment of ghosts, ghouls, and other monsters for your magical pleasure! She's included some you can layer, some you can stamp as is, and plenty you can use for specialty techniques. I'd call this an intermediate plate because you have some small images here.

So let's take a look at the manis! The first thing that jumped out at me was the little string of dancing skeletons, and I knew I had to do a French tip with it:

Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches? over Stella Chroma Hug The Road

Base Polish(es): Stella Chroma Hug The Road
Stamping Plate(s): Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches?
Stamping Polish(es): Kaleidoscope by El Corazon White

So easy and so festive! Love it. In fact, I loved it so much I did a second version, this time with the skeletons pointed down the nail:

Base Polish(es): Zoya Ashton
Stamping Plate(s): Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches?
Stamping Polish(es): Kaleidoscope by El Corazon White

This one's a little darker, but I love the goth edge a little more, I think. :)

I love the negative space ghost images for showing off beautiful specialty polishes, so I did a combo mani to show off both of them:

Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches? over Supernatural Lacquer Villainous

Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches? over Supernatural Lacquer Villainous

Base Polish(es): Supernatural Lacquer Villainous (also available during the PPU sale only!)
Stamping Plate(s): Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches?
Stamping Polish(es): Hit The Bottle My Suitor Wears Pewter

I used a dark gray rather than a black to get a more subtle, ethereal effect for the ghosts. I love that it makes it feel just a little bit hazy...

I also love that castle silhouette image, so I wanted to play around with that:

Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches? over Supernatural Lacquer Villainous (over black undies)

Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches? over Supernatural Lacquer Villainous (over black undies)

Base Polish(es): Supernatural Lacquer Villainous (also available during the PPU sale only!)
Stamping Plate(s): Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches?
Stamping Polish(es): Kaleidoscope by El Corazon Black

The full image was a bit to big for my nails, so I split it up over all my nails, added the witches, an made the moon silhouette into my whole mani. :)

Finally, I do a spider mani every Halloween, so I figured I might as well get an early start using this plate:

Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches? over Zoya Alice

Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches? over Zoya Alice
Base Polish(es): Zoya Alice
Stamping Plate(s): Lantern & Wren What's Up, My Witches?
Stamping Polish(es): Kaleidoscope by El Corazon Black, It Girl Nail Art Mimosa, Moyra Silver

I usually post my spider poem with my spider mani, but after all these years I'm guessing you're bored with that!

This plate will be available from Sept 6th-9th during PPU's September sale, for $14.99 with a cap of only 60, so jump on it! In the meantime, check out Lantern & Wren's other plates here, and come hang out with us in the Polish Pickup Pack here for sneak peeks and news. :)

Big hugs,
M. xoxo

PPU Alert! Supernatural Lacquer Villainous

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

Today I have another polish for you from September's Polish Pickup Magic & Alchemy theme--this one from Supernatural Lacquer:

Supernatural Lacquer Villainous

Coverage: 2-3 coats; I'm wearing 2
Formula and application: Applies beautifully and dries quickly

Villainous is inspired by the purple and green smoke that tends to follow Disney villains around--to capture that feel she created a smokey base with a ton of holo and a stunning purple-teal-green multichrome flash. Oh--and there's flakies. What's not to love? And while I know this is supposed to be a 'villainous' polish, I see gorgeous angel and fairy wings here. This would also be the exact nail polish I'd expect both mermaids and unicorns to wear. :)

I also wanted to test it out over black undies--this made the multichrome flash darker:

Sign me up, cause you know you're gonna see some nail art with both undies and without...In fact, I'll be showing them to you next time, so watch this space!

You can buy this polish during Polish Pickup's September sale, from September 6th-9th. It'll sell for $11.50, and won't have a cap! In the meantime, check out Supernatural Lacquer's other polishes here, and come hang out with us in the Polish Pickup Pack. :)

Big hugs,
M. xoxo
