Before & After: It Girl Nail Art fashion plate IG103 + SinfulColors Rebel Rose

(Press sample)

Hello!

I've been waiting to get my paws on the art nouveau image on It Girl Nail Art IG103 (or, get the image on my paws! See what I did there?), and today is the day! If you want to see my full review of It Girl Nail Art's three inaugural plates, click here.

I started out with SinfulColors Rebel Rose (see the full collection here), a magnificent fuchsia shimmer with little blue bits in the shimmer:

Then I used the lovely image second from the right on the bottom row, stamped with SinfulColors Blue Sensation:

I chose SinfulColors Blue Sensation to stamp with to pull out the blue shimmers in the base polish; here's how it turned out:

Art nouveau-oh-oh!

I love how the image is large enough for me to get the scallop-shell portion clearly on one nail, and swoopy side images on the other two nails, for a full, cohesive look. And I love how well the blue plays with the fuchsia. What do you think, are you an art nouveau fan?

You can find It Girl Nail Art fashion plates on her Etsy store, and on her Store Envy shop. You can also keep up with her on Facebook and Instagram.

Happy stamping!

Before & After: Hot Kimbers

Hello!

It's time for the next theme in the Mish Mash challenge! This week's theme is: Hot! Which is what the weather is right now, so this is an easy one for me to get behind. :)

I started with a base of the absolutely gorgeous Julep Tatiana, a dark orange with lighter orange flecks; I received this in my Julep box this month, and while I will be showing you the polishes I got shortly, I couldn't wait to use this one:

Next I stamped some flames from my Pueen Love Elements set using Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Lightning;  I then added a layer of Lucky 13 Lacquers Special Hell, a nearly-transparent red jelly with square red glitter:

I'm burning up...

Burnin' up for your love...

I put the glitter over the stamping rather than the other way around, so that the glitters would look like little embers falling from the fire as it pops and flares. :) What do you think--is it hot? I know one thing, it would be a great manicure to wear with a devil costume this Halloween. :)

Thanks for stopping by, and please check out all the other gorgeous hot manicures below! Hugs and loves,
M.

Before & After: Michelle's Shindig

Hello!!

It's week 2 of our stamping theme in my Nail Challenge Collaborative, so today I have some more stamping for you. :)

I started this manicure with one of my favorite reds, Maya For Michelle. It's a pretty red creme with a subtle shimmer of magenta:

Next, I put a coat of another beautiful Maya polish, Shindig; this is a glitter topper with silver squares, off-white squares that look like mother of pearl, along with tiny silver hair glitters and micro glitters:

Finally I stamped with Barry M Silver Foil using cheeky plate GA29:

To me this looks like a shower of confetti and streamers, like the sort you let go at a party or at New Year's. It has lots of movement and a lot going on, so probably not for everyday wear, although an accent stamp over the rest would be nice. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Please check out the other stamping manicures linked below. :)

Love,
M.
