UberChic Beauty Business Chic 01

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

Well...my next two posts are gonna be a little bit ironic, lol! Today we're going to take a look at a recent release from UberChic Beauty, their Business Chic plate. So it's a little ironic since many of us are working at home right now...but if you're still going in to work you definitely want to look cute, and if you're working from home, this plate will still allow you to flash cute fingers over Zoom!

As always, I did a video discussing the plate and showing some sample looks:

And here's a still look at the plate:

UberChic Beauty Business Chic 01

I love the variety of patterns on this plate, all classy, all versatile, and so much mix-and-match potential. Use the for backgrounds, single pass, reversed stamp--all the things!

On to the manis! For y first one I wanted to do a simple single-pass with it:

Base Polish(es): Zoya Aurora
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Business Chic 01
Stamping Polish(es): Moyra Silver

For the second mani, I wanted to play around with a little mix-and-match magic:

Base Polish(es): Zoya Leif
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Business Chic 01
Stamping Polish(es): UberChic Beauty Just Lucky

And finally, I wanted to show how easily you can make a bold statement with a little reversed stamping:

Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Business Chic 01
Stamping Polish(es): UberChic Beauty Pure Black and Girly Bits Saffron, Saffroff

UberChic Beauty St. Patrick's Day 3

(Press samples ahead!)

Hello!

I'll tell you what...I want some corned beef, stat. No joke. The cravings are real.

In the meantime, let's take a look at UberChic Beauty's St. Patrick's Day 03 plate, perfect to get yourself all primped up for any of your festive Irish Celebrations...Here's a look at the video review I did for the plate:

And here's an up-and-close look at the plate:

This is another of UberChic's coolest new concept--plates that turn previous plates into layering plates! I love the versatility this gives you and I hope she keeps going with these. I also love that this one, while being a companion layering plate for her St. Patrick's Day 1 & 2 plates, there are several designs on this plate that are completely new. Particularly a layering argyle set that I adore!

Here are the swatches I did in the video--have mercy on me, I had some serious coordination isues that day for some reason, and multiple disasters happened--the struggle was real:

UberChic Beauty St. Patrick's Day 3

Okay, let's jump into the manicures! I already showed you one mani with this plate, and with St. Patrick's Day 2, here. For the next mani I did, I had to try out the argyle images (note how well the grid image works on its own for a background, and how you can use that in both a traditional argyle arrangement (below), or to outline your diamonds (above).

UberChic Beauty St. Patrick's Day 3 over Stella Chroma All Charged Up

Base Polish(es): Stella Chroma All Charged Up
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty St. Patrick's Day 3
Stamping Polish(es): UberChic Beauty Just Lucky and Mint To Be In A Fairytale, and Beauty Big Bang Gold

I ADORE how this mani came out! This is one of those manis I couldn't bear to take off, and kept on several days longer than I should have, lol. And I you can bet I'll be returning to this exact same mani with all the different colors--purple, red, blue, white-black-gray...the possibilities are endless! In my opinion this plate is worth having for the argyle alone.

For my final mani, I couldn't resist doing a little bit of a French-Irish look, hee hee...

Zoya Calm Spring 2020 Collection

(Press samples ahead!)

Hello!

Spring is almost here...I know for most people that's an exciting, happy thing, and I get it--I'm looking forward to planting my new garden, fresh berries, and spending more time in the sun. However, I have to admit--I prefer cool weather and rainy days. I know, I know--I'd feel differently if I had to deal with snow like most of the country! But while I'm enjoying the sneak-peeks of sun, I'll also be looking forward to a few more cozy read-by-the-fire kind of days.

Either way, Zoya's Calm collection has some beautiful spring colors--pastels with a hint of smoke, which is how I like my spring palate. Let's take a look...

Coverage: 1 coat
Formula & application: Excellent
Description: Zoya Vee is a smoked plum, and another of my favorites from the collection. It has an understated feel while still being pretty, like an African violet or an earthy orchid. Subtle but rich at the same time.

So what do I think overall? This is an excellent set of colors to get you through spring. I continue to love Zoya's one-coat cremes, although the lighter ones in this collection did take two coats to cover my ridges. All are pretty, but the ones that really make my heart flutter are AJ, Leif, and Vee. :)

All are on sale now on Zoya's website, or anywhere else that stocks Zoya. AND, now through Feb 17th at 11pm EST, you'll get a FREE Big Flipper bottle of polish remover with any purchase, and free shipping if you spend over $30, if you use code LOVE20. So go!

UberChic Beauty's Love & Marriage 05 plate!

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

Today we're going to look at this year's Valentine's Day offering from UberChic Beauty, their Love & Marriage 05 plate. Of course I did a quick video review, with swatches for you:

And here's an up-close look at the plate:

UberChic Beauty Love & Marriage 05

This is a versatile plate with a little bit of everything--some layering images, some complementary images, great background images, and beautiful lace screaming to be used in a French mani look.

Let's jump into some manis! For my first I wanted to do something sweet for a pretty Valentine's look that tested out one of the layering images:

UberChic Beauty Love & Marriage 05 over Glam Polish Don't Go Breaking My Heart
Base Polish(es): Glam Polish Don't Go Breaking My Heart
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Love & Marriage 05
Stamping Polish(es): UberChic Beauty Essential White and Kaleidoscope Pink

For my next mani, I wanted to go a bit different...I'm not a huge Valentine's Day person, I love the celebration of love, but some of the other stuff that gets put onto it can be a little much for me. So here's an alternative type of Valentine's look:

UberChic Beauty Love & Marriage 05 over Sally Hansen Get Mod
Base Polish(es): Sally Hansen Get Mod
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Love & Marriage 05
Stamping Polish(es): UberChic Beauty Pure Black and Moyra Silver

I should note: these images are not specifically designed to be layered, and don't fit perfectly. But I love the way they go together to show three colors, so I had to play with them. :)

For my last mani I went back to a more traditional Valentine's mani, featuring one of my current favorite red polishes:

UberChic Beauty Love & Marriage 05 over Zoya Tanya and Sally Hansen Get Mod

Base Polish(es): Zoya Tanya and Sally Hansen Get Mod
Stamping Plate(s): UberChic Beauty Love & Marriage 05
Stamping Polish(es): Girly Bits Fire-Engine Red and UberChic Beauty Essential White

This plate is on sale now in UberChic Beauty's shop, and wherever else you buy your UberChic Beauty plates.

Stay tuned for my review of their new stamping polishes, and of their St. Patrick's day companion layering plate...

Big hugs,
M. xoxo
