The Lady Varnishes Black Flame Candle, Fairy Queen, and Destiny |
First up, we have
Destiny from the Real Magic collection, a sophisticated multichrome polishes that shifts from brown to purple, with a shimmer that shifts from gold to olive, with gold flakies to top it all off:

And a really awkward angle to show you that green shift:

The Lady Varnishes Destiny |
This is two coats of Destiny with topcoat; on her own, she dries to a wax finish that's very cool in its own right. Formula and application were good--I had a touch of drag on the first coat, but it evened out perfectly with the second.
Destiny is inspired by the movie
Willow, a movie filled with evil queen sorceresses and magic and brave knight-like guys and babies that are destined to save the world--okay, one baby, Elora Denan, the inspiration for this polish. The shifting autumn colors in this have a magical feel, and the golden flakes flickering through add to the wonder. This is elegant, sophisticated, and special--it's the kind of polish you just sit and stare at while you rotate your fingers in the light.
Also from the Real Magic collection we have
The Lady Varnishes Fairy Queen, a silvery-white linear holographic polish with a magenta-to-aqua shift:

This is two coats with topcoat--application and formula were top-notch. Fairy Queen is inspired by Cherlindrea, the lally Maiden of the Forest, from Willow, and this polish absolutely captures the beauty and light that radiates from her! This polish is like bathing your fingers in the pure, warm light of an angelic rainbow. There is a scattered element to the holo as well as a linear--there is simply no light where this polish doesn't look stunning.
And finally for today we have
Black Flame Candle from the Just A Bunch Of Hocus Pocus collection, a black crelly with a golden shimmer and multichrome glitters that shift through a rainbow of fall colors:

This is two coats with one coat of topcoat; application and formula were good, I had a little pulling on the first coat, but it all evened out perfectly and the glitters spread well. Black Flame Candle is inspired by one of my favorite movies ever:
Hocus Pocus! For me, no Halloween season is complete without at least one viewing of this movie--yes, it's silly, but it's ton of fun and I adore it! But regardless, this polish is like someone took autumn and shook it up in a bottle with a big heap of magic. If you want a polish that will dazzle up just about any fall look, this is it.
And as always, The Lady Varnishes polishes come with a matching charm, and you can have them scented if you like.
All of these polishes are now available in The Lady Varnishes shop. And don't forget to follow The Lady on Facebook and Instagram for inspiration, news, previews, and sales!
