Hello!
Today we're gonna take a look at the final Halloween plate released this year by Winstonia, their Spooktacular plate. In case you missed the first two, you can click here to find find my review of Horror Night and here for Hallo-scream; you can also check them out in my video review:
Here's a shot of the plate:
Each of the three plates Winstonia released has a different format; Hallo-scream was a traditional-style plate with full-nail images and some stand-alone designs. Horror Night had an infinite-image style. Spooktacular is all about scary jack-o-lantern faces, and the focus allows the plate to give you a face for every mood (or finger). And to go along with them, they've included some spooky Halloween sayings. :)
Here's a look at the size of the images:
Unless you have very small nails, these should fit without a problem (see my sample manis below).
And how does it stamp?
Doesn't get better than that. :)
For my first manicure, I started with a base of The Lady Varnishes Black Flame Candle, and then stamped my faces using Messy Mansion Happy Now and Banana Bender (also available on Amazon):
Even on my pinky, the face fits, so I was very happy about that. And I love how the mani came out--a fun, traditional look that fits any Halloween need from a children's party to a night out haunt-crawling with friends.
For my second look I was inspired by the clown face to go a little more twisted...I started out with a base of Jindie Nails Funhouse of 1000 corpses. Then I stamped the words with Messy Mansion Hydrangea Blue, Lilac, Dogwood Pink, and Spring Green. I stamped each face first with Messy Mansion Chalk, and then in a second color (Red-y Or Not, Blue You A Kiss, Royal Purple, and Happy Now). Here's how it came out:
Now, if psycho clowns don't scare you, this is a perfectly pleasant mani. But, if they give you the heebeejeebees like they do me, this is scary and a little sinister. Either way, I love it.
You can find this plate in the Winstonia store; you can use my code, MICH10, for 10% off. It's also available on Amazon if that's easier for you. And don't forget to follow them on Instagram and Twitter for news and inspiration!
Happy stamping,
M.
You got some great Halloween manicures using this stamping plate.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The faces are so fun to play with. :)
DeleteWhat a fun plate!
ReplyDeleteIt totally is!!
DeleteWhen you double stamp like this, do you topcoat between each stamping color on the nail?
ReplyDeleteIt depends on th effect you're going for. For this one, I didn't. If you want a slightly more 3D effect, you definitely can, and that's when I normally do. :)
