Dixie Plates Tropical Paradise and Festival Fever

(Press samples and affiliate links ahead!)

Hello!

It's amazing how much of my life is incompatible with my nail blogging, lol! I spent part of yesterday and part of today weeding my garden, which resulted in large amounts of dirt way up in my cuticles. I love to cook, but the number of times I've almost cut off a nail or broken the corner while doing some cooking task is ridiculous--and don't get my started on typing with long nails, which is what I do for a living. Growing up I wanted to learn how to play the guitar--until I found out I'd have to keep my nails short. I believe to this day I made the right choice, hehe. It all just goes to show how much I love nail art!!

Anyway. Let's take a look at two new plates that are releasing today from Dixie Plates: Tropical Paradise, a cool summery layering plate, and Festival Fever, a super versatile plate revolving around a music festival theme.

Here's the video review I did of the plate:

Here's a look at the plates:

Dixie Plates Tropical 01/Tropical Paradise

I love the layering potential in this one--especially the triple-layer images! I have a little tip in my video above if you struggle with the full-nail triple layer image. :)

Dixie Plates Festival Fever
I see so many different uses for this plate! Southwestern manis. Music-themed manis. Fireworks/fair manis. And the eyes and the Hamsa go so well together--and also go with her Boho 01 plate if you've picked that up. :)

Here are the swatches I did:

Now for the manis! For the first one, I wanted to capture that music festival vibe...

What about you, do your other hobbies/activities get in the way of your nail art?

Big hugs,
