Hello!
Hey there! How ya doing? I've got a little bit of a cold, and spend most of the day yesterday trying to rest but not being able to fall asleep. Don'tcha hate that?
Anyway. I have two holiday plates from MoYou London to show you today, Festive 17 and 18; these came out last year, but I wasn't able to buy them until after the holiday.
As always, I made a video for you so you can see them in action:
And now, let's take a look at some pictures of the images...First up, Festive 17, which is a mash-up of a bunch of Christmas Carol lyrics along with some other Christmas/winter images:

I was drawn to this plate because I love the way words look as background images in manicures, and I figured this was a bunch of different options specific to Christmas. I didn't really think much about the other images on this plate when I first snapped it up, but as I was reviewing it, I became more and more impressed with the selection here of cute little images you can play with for fun, fast manicures.
For the most part, the plate stamped well, but I did noticed some of the images were more finicky than others, especially the ones with the smaller print. They will work, but you may have to use a little more finesse with them, so I wouldn't recommend this plate for beginners.

And here's the plate next to a standard Konad plate so you can judge how big the images are; note, these aren't meant to completely cover your nail in most cases, unless you have very small nails:

Let's take a look at Festive 18, which is a bead-curtain of pretty holiday ornaments:

This plate is great for making Christmas tree nails, or for just decorating any color with a few festive ornaments. Stamping with this plate was a dream:

And as you can see, all the ornaments should be small enough to fit at least one per nail no problem:

I decided to use Festive 17 for my sample mani; I started with a skittle of Zoya Aspen & Zoya Sue; I stamped the lyrics with Barry M Gold Foil. I made some decals by stamping with Konad Black and filling with Zoya Amal & Zoya Honor, and then used my dotting tools to make accents:

I messed up a bit on the middle finger ornaments, but other than that, I think it's a sweet holiday mani. I especially like the holly cluster on the thumb, and the mistletoe on my pinkie. :)
Happy stamping!
M.
Gorgeous! Love it

ReplyDeleteVery festive!
ReplyDeleteAhh, lovely. Pinkie & thumb are my fave too! And I just love it how text, stamped in gold, looks over that base.
