NOTD: Jubilee Street Party challenge :)

Hello!

My stamping group's challenge for today is Jubilee Street Party, to celebrate Elizabeth II Regina's Diamond Jubilee (for you fellow Yanks, that means she's been on the throne 60 years). In Britain, this means a four-day weekend and one heck of a party, including street celebrations throughout the kingdom. So the theme of Today's stamping challenge is 'Jubilee Street Party'!

Here is what I put together for the challenge:

Time to partay!

I consulted with an English friend of mine about this event, and was told that it involved lots of bunting, and lots of champagne. So, I chose China Glaze's Champagne Bubbles as my base color, since it really does remind me of champagne with little bubbles in it. Then I used Mash-28 to stamp what I hope looks like bunting, in the colors of the Union Jack (being careful not to put the white in the middle and accidentally make a French flag, lol!), with Konad red and white, and Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in Brisk Blue. The crown was stamped using Color Club's Revvvolution and Bundle Monster plate BM-08, while the diamonds where stamped with Sally Hansen Insta-Dry in Silver Sweep, using BM-09. This is my first time using multiple colors on one stamp and I hurried too much because I was afraid the polish would dry, so it smeared a little bit. :(

I hope I've captured part of the spirit of the celebration, and God Save The Queen!! :)

M.
